DOES SOMETHING

For a site to stay kickin' and retain their awesome members, it's really important that they stick out from the average site. So, you all have registered, participated and generally stayed among the population of SAYS (which is the most awesome writer's resource on the internet!). Why? What are your favorite things about SAYS? And what makes it stick out more than the rest? |

The fact that the staff and members aren't snobby. Unlike at other places, I have never felt inferior (except when talking to Gubby, but she's just like that and enjoys making people feel small :P)! I don't feel like I have to be serious to be taken seriously. :P I love the community we have here and the fact that I can chat about the thing I love most with everyone from eleven year olds, to ladies who have become my online mums! I always feel like my voice is heard and that because member made topics are encouraged, there will always be something helpful just one click away. My writing, I feel, has improved since I've been here, but SAYS is so much more than that. Unlike the other mediocre *is guessing and hasn't looked at them* writing sites, I feel like part of a group here - there are people who can help me with other problems too, be it homework or my inability to spell. I mean, I have an internet family who counted down to my last birthday with me, for goodness sakes! :P I like feeling encouraged and let me say (on SAYS...wooo wordplay!) that for no one else would I ever attempt graphic making (remember my Ronmione paintjob?) or Harmony writing! SAYS rocks! |

This site is serious about our skills (duh) but laid-back and friendly about everything else. I agree with andharrywokeup. I haven't run across a snobby member on here, and everyone has been very helpful. I feel like this site promotes a close-knit group to form .... |

This site ACTUALLY helps. Seriously. If i need help I come here first. Because it's awesome. And I say this all the time, but the people are wonderful, and the staffers actually understand, and are nice. That's why I love SAYS. :D |

The people do. They all care. They know your name, and depending on how long they've been here, they know bits about you: what kind of person you are, or just how you've improved your writing. It's all here -- the collective spirit, the need to help, the talent... It's the best way to make a difference. ^_^ SAYS is just the place you'd always come back to -- your safe haven on the internet. |

I particularly agree with Andy - no one here is a snotty holier-than-thou kind of person! Usually at forums I go to, if someone has any type of status or responsibility (i.e. admin, moderators), many of them tend to be a bit we-know-what-we're-talking-about-more-than-you-do-so-we're-going-to-stick-our-noses-in-the-air-and-look-down-on-you. But no one here is like that at all. We're all people, and all equal, and I love that. *woohoo* Also, things like - well, April Fool's! Not on one single other forum have I had that much fun. ^_^ And people are all-around friendly. I'm on first-name basis with more people here than with any other forum, and I've only been here for a few months! :) All around... SAYS is a wonderful place. I hope I can remain a part of it for a really really really long time. :huggle: :huggle: :huggle: :huggle: :huggle: |

It’s the people. I’ve made some wonderful friends through SAYS, people who help out with my writing, wish me happy birthdays, and who I can talk to. SAYS just has a comfortable feeling that let you know that no matter how stupid your question is, no one’s going to laugh at you. :hilary: I have improved a lot here. Not just my writing, but my English and my graphic making as well. I’m still not so good at the latter, but definitely much better. :) As cheesy as it sounds, SAYS is my home away from home. :huggle::huggle::huggle::glomp::glomp::glomp: |

SAYS is just smogworthy. Everyone is lovely and welcoming and not snobby in the least. Awesome challenges and topics, plus...it's just...interesting and fun, I guess. People are just lovely, I guess that's why I love it so much! :glomp: I really hope that I can become a part of this group, properly. I really think it would be so worth it. Love you all, guys! :attack: |

*hmph* I'm personally offended...*pokes nose in the air*...I must be losing my touch if I'm not considered snobby!!!....*becomes all emo and dramatic like*....Bugger it...*cries*....I'm snobby..I'm evil and I'm cursing you all!!!! Okay, now that's out of the way....WHY do I love SAYS??? For MANY snobby reasons, I can assure you of that!!! I think I'm still here because of the people. I have my hissy fits, my rants and raves, my pathetic attempts at attention seeking, my general blahness can't be helped...yet I'm still accepted here. I'm not judged unfairly (regardless of what others may personally think of me) and I feel at 'home' here. I love that newbies settle in like they've been here for years...I love that we're ALL of different ages and from different parts of the world, yet we see past that boundary and simply share a common ground/bond with each other!!! We're just awesome!!! :P :elena: :hajadeha: |

I've gotta agree with Elena (LOVE YOU, ELENA!) I've felt completely welcomed and accepted even though I'm OLD ;) . I love that I have "friends" from around the world and from different age brackets...talking with the youngsters helps to remind me what it was like to be a teenager...which I'm sure will come in handy when my own children become one. I think I've become a better writer by being a part of this site as well...the encouragement and support has contributed, but mostly just reading the other fantastic writers inspires me to work harder. |

SAYS is just ... FUN! There are are squees and huggles and glomps all over the place, and everyone (it seems) is free to unleash their wacky side and just be creative and weird and friendly all at the same time.... Everything is really professional yet not tense .... Just loves it ... :zomgsqueeglomphugglelove: :glomp: *woohoo* :tickle: :poke: :chase: :tackle:  :sugar: <---- that's me! |

Well I only joined SAYS like 2 or 3 days ago and I can tell already that it's great. When I first came to says, I came across the c-box and I could tell that everybody was really freindly and supportive of eachother. I've seen what other people have said about SAYS and I just love the way that for some people its like an online family and I think its great! :huggle: |

*glomps Andy* You know...Even though SAYS is dead at the moment, cause everyone's busy...This is STILL the first place I check, and continue to check throughout my day. Any news or excitement in my life I share here, even if no-one is around to see what I've written. Though I miss the cbox girls...I'm still lovin' the fact that I'm hangin' around, ready to pounce on someone as they flutter by...LOL :gubby: :bouncey: |
