Tahi, teh CrazySupreme Ruler of Everywhere. Resistance is Futile

1. Do real life events often inspire your stories? Sometimes yes, though I prefer not to because then the story gets too personal. The thing I get most inspired from is emotion, especially for the really emotional one-shots. :P

2. Which of your stories is your personal favourite? This question gets me every time, and I probably answer it differently each time too. I'll go with "Sands of Time" because it's such an interesting story (I'd read it myself if someone else had written it ;)).

3. What would you consider to be your best story? "Astute Observations" because there isn't anything about it I would change.

4. How much of an impact do reviews, positive or negative have on your stories? Lots of good reviews do make me happier and the harsher CC reviews have made me reconsider large portions of stories to the point that I've removed and rewritten chapters. I like making readers happy.

5. Have you ever received criticism that you thought was particularly harsh? How did you deal with it? I put it aside, then go back to it later. The first reaction is never good and every criticism does have a basis somewhere. Even if I don't agree with it, I'll try to at least think about what issues it has brought up.

6. Which of your stories was most difficult to write? "Sharing Fire" almost did me in. It was brutal to write because it's so dark and deep, too. I've tried to re-read it and just can't without feeling very uncomfortable. I have no idea why, though.

7. What made you start writing fan-fiction? I just loved the books I was reading so much that I wanted to write something like them, mimicking them until I could come up with my own thing. I didn't realise it was fanfiction until a friend introduced me to fanfiction.net.

8. What would you consider to be your proudest moment in your fan-fiction writing? Just one? It will be when I reach 400 for "favourite authors of" :P , but at the moment, when a couple of random people PMd me at HPFF, saying how much I'd inspired them. It was back in 2008 and happened a couple times in a row, so that counts as a moment, right?

9. For you, what is the most important element of your writing? Ie characterization, plot, descriptions, emotions etc. Characterization. The characters have to be sympathetic or intriguing or something that catches readers attention. Plot doesn't even need to be there, but there has to be a good character. :)

10. What's your most embarrassing moment in the history of HPFF/TDA? My first day on the HPFF forums when I didn't know what forum spamming was. I said that I didn't think my computer was capable of doing anything like that. :P
