Store DVD on NAS (Synology D212j) for TV playback

This article mainly shows you how to rip and copy DVD to Synology D212j for streaming to your TV for watching.

DS212j is the one of the models in Synology's 2-bay NAS range for home use, offering file storage, sharing and data protection while minimising power use and noise. With it, you can share and watch files from NAS on multiple computers, TV, iPad, iPhone, Android phone, or other devices. I recently purchased a NAS (DS212j) to store all my music/photos/movies etc on and now what I want to do is rip all my DVDs (over 400) to my NAS, but I'm not sure how to do it in, to play nice with my TV with AC3 5.1 sound.

By searching for DVD ripper on google and reading some reviews, I find Pavtube DVDAid is the the best one I've tried yet which can get the content off the DVD disc as a protection-free and easily readable element for NAS. It's simple and it works, and I like what the program does. Now I can easily stream DVD from NAS to TV in MPEG-2 format without quality loss. And I use AC3 for audio because it supports 5.1 sound. The mac version is Pavtube DVDAid for Mac.

Free download and install it and follow the guide below:
