Part 1 The remaining survivors ran down the hallway, firing their M68 Assault Rifles at the oncoming “mutants”. “Fire at will!” the Sergeant commanded to his men as they began reloading their M68 Assault Rifles. “Sir, I’m running out of ammo” “as am I” two soldiers told their Sergeant. The Sergeant looked at them, then took out his knife, grabbing a mutant, slitting his throat. The two corporals looked in awe at their Sergeant, they began to fire once more. Finally, after an hour, the Mutant Onslaught ended, zero casualties, but depleted ammo. “Hmm, how much more ammo do you soldiers have?” the Sergeant asked his men. They all replied, giving him the answers, “1 Clip, 2 Clips, out of ammo”. He looked at them, then ordered them to get down to the emergency hatch. He took off his ODST Helmet. You could see his natural appearance, blue eyes, brown hair, Italian skin. “Hmm, Riggs, get into that radio room, check if we have any network connection” Sergeant Durazno told his men as he looked around, seeing blood and dead bodies. Riggs checked, there was no network connection. “Sir, the network is dead, this security room has the film of what happened down here though” Riggs told Durazno. Durazno looked at him, saying “pull it up, we have to see what happened”. Riggs pulled up the video, on a big screen. [In film] 3/19/2432 7:53 P.M. Screaming is heard as the Researchers in their white coats ran as fast as they could. “Please! Open the Armory!!!” the lead Researcher said to the Security Personnel. “Hell no, we open it, and dozens of those things you made are going to come in ‘ere and tear us apart. Besides, you started this thing.” the Chief Security Guard said to the scientists. “Let us throu--” the scientist finally said before the mutants came and tore them apart. [End of film] “Jesus Christ…” Durazno replied as he walked to a corner, puking. “Sir, before they died, they had a clean sweep here, so, this underground facility is currently safe. But in a few hours… I hate to say it but those mutants will break through and will wipe us out” PFC Riggs told Sergeant Major Durazno. “Wait… what the hell? Look at this camera, its located in the armory… the Personnel are still alive!” Riggs said in a surprised voice to Blue Team. “Good, Sergeant, maybe we can head down there and check things out?” Corporal Richen told his Sergeant. “Nah, their okay down there. Besides, this Mutant Quarantine has been cleansed for the time being, so we’re fine.” The Sergeant replied as he picked up some more ammo magazines from a small cabinet, he then said, “Lock and Load, we’re going back to the surface, our mission was to find what happened, and if possible, eliminate the threat, well, I plan on finishing my mission.” Part 2 The Sergeant walked across the open, quite grassland to a nearby Oak Tree. He studied the upper base, seeing it empty. He gave a signal to PFC Riggs, Gunnery Sergeant King, and Private Cleary the Medic, telling them to move into the Base’s gates. He studied it once more. Then just ordered the three other soldiers to move near him. Gunnery Sergeant King ordered PFC Riggs and Private Cleary to move in, they stopped in a small room, the door open, blood everywhere, they walked through another door. The door led to a downstairs, it was pitch black. “Turn on your Night-Vision, Helljumpers” King quietly whispered. They all did, as they walked down, they heard noises, they turned, seeing three mutants feasting on a dead warehouse worker. King commanded them, “fire!” they shot their M68s at the mutants, one leaped at King, he threw off his shotgun, it jammed as the mutant jumped at him, he grabbed it by the throat ramming it into a wall taking out his Combat Knife, slicing it’s throat open. PFC Riggs looked at the warthogs, then to King. King looked at Cleary. “Sergeant, I can take one of these warthogs, but, I need to get this garage opened, I’ll go up to the docking office, and open the garage” Riggs told King and Cleary. King looked, and nodded, him and Cleary both walked into a small room loaded with weapons, grenades, medical packs, and loaded up. “Wrrrraaaaggggghhhhh!!!!”, King and Cleary heard a scream, they ran up to the Docking Office as the Warehouse Doors opened. “Oh hell…” King muttered to himself. Riggs was laying on the floor, at least 6 mutants around him, him, blood everywhere, on his face, his chest, everywhere. “No… I… we all know what this can do… I cannot be saved…” Riggs told King as he walked up to Riggs. “Give me your pistol… now Cleary…” Riggs demanded Cleary. Private Cleary did as told, he handed him the gun. “Now… I am not going to turn into one of these…” he loaded the gun, put it under his throat, and pulled the trigger. Cleary turned away, puking, King picked up Riggs’ body. “We aren’t going to leave him here. Now, get into that Warthog Turret” “Y… yes s… si.. Sir…” Cleary shakily replied to King. King threw Riggs’ body into the Rider seat, he got into the Driver’s seat, and curved, he splattered at least 4 mutants that we’re running at the soldiers. He began to drive. Cleary began shooting his turret at the mutants , the 50. Cal rounds ripped through their bodies like hell. “Burn in hell you mutants! You killed Riggs!” Cleary screamed as he began to get angry as he saw Riggs body sitting in the Rider seat. The warthog was driving through the grassy terrain, only a few hundred meters, they could see the Sergeant and the rest of their Company. “Crap… I don’t know if we’ll make it…” Kings said as he saw probably 400 mutants in front of the warthog. “Hang on!” Kings screamed as he swerved, the back of the warthog, bashing hundreds of the mutants, knocking them dead, Cleary began to shoot his 50. Cal Turret, ripping the mutants into shreds. Kings finally turned back, and saw the Sergeant and the rest of the Company firing at mutants walking towards them, Kings pettled to the medal and rammed them, he then grinned at the Company and then, lowered his face, taking off his helmet, he dropped it, then pointed at Riggs. “No…” Corporal Johnson quietly whispered… “What the hell happened!!!” Sergeant Durazno yelled. “How did this happen…” he then again said to Kings. Cleary began to tear very lightly as he saw the emotional scene. “He… he shot himself… he told me to leave him, I couldn’t let him stay there for the Zombies to eat… I… just couldn’t… I wanted to bury him…” Kings quietly said to the squad of soldiers. The squad all stood in a line as Kings layed his body in a square ditch, sort of like a grave. On a piece of metal, smashed into the ground, they etched “Here lies Private First Class Riggs, his service, his loyalty, his bravery, and his honor could not be taken for granted”. Kings dropped the body lightly into the grave, they then, with their hands grabbed dirt, and began to bury him. “Anyone, please, speak” Durazno told his men. “He was great to fight alongside to… he wouldn’t give up, even outnumbered ten to one, he was true to his word” Kings spoke as he looked at the grave. “He… he ensured his men would be safe… he was the smartest here… he knew how to make the right decisions” Cleary said out loud to the Company. Cleary then dropped to his knees, weeping, tearing, out of all the Company, one of the most brave died. Kings picked him up, put his shoulder around him, and patted him on his back. Part 3 2:36 P.M. The remaining few soldiers walked along a sandy beach, the ocean pounded against the shore, thunder and lightning could be heard overheard, rain pounded the planet. The Sergeant walked ahead of everyone else. Standing at the shore’s tip. He looked out into the ocean, seeing dark lightning pound the water. “We have to get out of here, soon enough, these Zombies will be here” Kings told Durazno. Durazno nodded, and signaled the company to hurry up. As they began to run, they heard gunfire and dropped. “Hell, there are more survivors!” Johnson yelled as he got up. “Eat this cold led and burn in hell, you rotten mutants!!!” a voice screamed. “Lets move!” Durazno yelled, they all ran up hill, their M68 Assault Rifles loaded, ready to fire, they saw a few survivors, firing their guns at oncoming zombies. They shot their M68s at the Zombies, they dropped dead. The “civilians” who stood in front of the ODST soldiers we’re James Schlarb, Lieutenant Samuel Roberts, Demolitionist Barry Lapin, and their leader, Corporal Tony Crispino. Tony looked at them. “We’re some colonists… don’t be alarmed… some of us are soldiers too” Durazno replied, “Heh, didn’t think anymore of you we’re alive… there are still some Personnel alive in an armory over at the Research Base. We’re part of the ODST 88th Heavy Infantry Division. We’ve been sent, on orders to look what went on here, and, if possible, eliminate any threats. The colonists and Security Guards looked at the ODST. They looked at the ODST with a sudden pause. Awe-stricken. “Thought they’d send the regular UNSC here… my god… ODST… as legendary as the Master Chief himself…” Samuel Roberts told Durazno and Kings. “Well… looks like we have a lot more people to our group” Kings told Durazno. Durazno took off his helmet, his crystal-clear eyes revealed, his brown hair stuck up due to his hair gel, he then ordered all of his ODST to take off their helmets. “Good thing we’re here… we already lost one of our best guys… we don’t want to lose anymore.” Durazno told the Colonists. 11:23 P.M. “Its getting Dark, we should probably find a nice cover, besides, at around 8:30 we already saw some Zombies not so long ago. I think we should find a nice place to stay in for the night… like a cavern” Kings quietly told Durazno. “No, we have to keep moving, on my motion radar, [H.U.D.] I can see some movement, we have to keep going. Its only a few miles away” Major Sergeant Durazno replied. “So… whatever happened?” Durazno asked Lieutenant Roberts. “What do you mean?” Roberts replied. “I mean. how did this start, what was going on, what we’re the researchers trying to do?” Durazno finally let out. Roberts sighed, and then told him. “I was one of the top Personnel, this research, as I heard, was supposed to build an elite group of soldiers, soldiers who could take down armies, something went wrong. When the researchers we’re finishing the final touches of the original prototype. He had no armor, nothing, they put in, by accident, a very deadly substance, only known as Product-Z it mutilates a person’s body. Like resurrection. But like in those old movies from the 1990s, Zombie Movies, and whatever these mutants, bite, scratch, that is living, will turn into a mutant. It sounds kind of weird, but its true. But, as the Personnel and the final researchers we’re escaping to the surface. The lead researcher did a clean sweep of the area, killing anyone that is infected, but, it happens overtime, but, before the clean sweep, a load of these things escaped through the hatch… what really sucks, they bit the dogs we left caged for research. Those dogs are very dangerous, which, can take less bullets then the regular Zombies, but are much, much faster…” Durazno looked at him. Then turned around, looking to see if any of those dogs are behind them. “We should take a rest. There is a cave up there, lets head down there” The band of soldiers walked into the cave, inspecting it, and lit a fire, they all then, fell asleep. Major Sergeant Durazno began to dream, he dreamt that one of those dogs we’re attacking him, that he was alone, against hundreds of them. He woke up, quietly opening his eyes, he saw what was on him, one of those demon dogs. It stood right next to him, its piercing red eyes staring into his. It drooled on his face. He looked at it, then at his left leg, which had his combat knife. He was thinking, right before it bit at his face. He rolled to the side, taking out his Knife, the mutant dog jumped at him. He grabbed his long combat knife, the beast’s mouth was open, he grabbed it by the neck, and stuffed his combat knife through its teeth, deep into the dog’s throat. He dropped, breathing heavily, everyone else woke up, all looked at him, surprised. Part 4 8:40 A.M. “Anyone want to go ahead and scout the area?“ Sergeant Durazno asked his teammates. “Uhh I’ll go” Barry told Durazno. “Same here” Tony Crispino and Cleary said. The three immediately left the cavern. Walking outside, Tony Crispino led the group, he gave a hand gesture for Cleary to make a left move, and Barry, right. Tony ran in front, his M68 Assault Rifle loaded, he looked at the two, they looked back, he put his hand out, moving his index and middle finger repeatedly as a signal for “Move up”. “I see some moving figures” Tony Crispino whispered over his Communication Link.. “Yeah, possibly human?” Cleary responded. “Looks like a bunch of mutants, I am ready to blow them to hell with these explosives!” Barry finally said in excitement. The group of battle-ready soldiers moved in, they we’re now only a few hundred yards away from the figures. The three immediately stopped, crouching behind a large boulder. “Got your weapon loaded?” Crispino asked his soldiers. “Only a few clips left” Cleary said quietly. “I have a few clips of my M68, and have a lot of explosives and grenades inside this bag” the Demolitionist told the group. “Let me have that frag” Crispino ordered Lapin. Lapin handed the frag grenade over. Corporal Crispino bit off the lip of the frag. Then whipped it at the large crowd of figures. The figures flew back, blood everywhere, the shreds of their dark, grey skin was everywhere. “WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?!” screamed Cleary. Crispino looked at him, then back at the figures. “Yep, those are mutants. These things are getting back up” Crispino responded. Cleary looked at him, then back at the mutants. They began to walk uphill towards their target, Crispino and his two soldiers loaded their M68s’ and pointed them right at the large force of Mutants. “Think we could beat these all?” Cleary said shakily as he saw the approaching mutants. “Well… you’re an ODST. We have a demolitionist, and me. I’m sure we’re going to survive” responded Crispino as he smirked. “Hey, you dirty beasts! How about you eat this!” Barry said as he threw a frag grenade down hill. It stopped at one of the mutant’s feet. The thing looked down at the frag, then back at Barry, it groaned, then it’s grayish skin blew up, like it was from the inside and out, they we’re all knocked down, and that one, blood spurted everywhere, chunks of his guts flew all over the ground. “Hell, this is going to be good” Cleary muttered to himself. The group of soldiers fired their M68s at the mutants, all of them, falling back, but not dead. “Its impossible to kill these things! You have to at least waste a clip of ammo on one!” Crispino yelled in anger as one came up to him, trying to bite Into his chest. He pulled out his silver ODST Combat Knife, he put its blade tip away from his chest, as the mutant came down, his face slammed onto the cold, steel blade, the mutant backed up. He then grabbed the mutant’s grayish neck, smashing his throat with the might of his hand, he pushed his ODST Knife down the beast’s rotten mouth. Inside it’s mouth, all you see is blood rushing back up, and his rotten, brown mouth, full of broken teeth and slices all over his gums. Crispino nearly puked at the sight. He rushed back as the beast fell over, dead. “Got one of these demons!” Crispino yelled, laughing. “They’re coming, fall back, all corners!” Cleary screamed in horror “You all can run” Barry said as he rushed for his backpack, taking out heavy explosives, “but I’m staying here and taking these things down with me” Barry grinned, then set the charge, he strapped it to his leg, and all the mutants crowded him, ripping him to shreds. Cleary and Crispino ran uphill as fast as they could. They took one last look at Barry, he was still smiling, the charge was ending; 3 2 1. The hundreds of mutants blew up with Barry, chunks of guts glassed with blood flew everywhere, you saw everything, intestines, hearts, blood, spines. “This is… too much” Cleary said puking out blood. He saw the ugly faces of the dead mutants. He fell, unconscious. Crispino picked it up and laid him on his left shoulder, his M68 in his right, more mutants began to gather, he ran back, through the forest to the Cavern. “Where the hell is Lapin?” Lieutenant Samuel Robert yelled. “He. He gave his life to save us both, he blew up hundreds of the mutants” Crispino said, his face down. Samuel Robert saw Cleary, his face full of blood, Crispino dropped Cleary onto the ground. All of the soldiers sat silently around the fire. Part 5, the end of man 12:35 P.M. The group of soldiers walked down the forest, looking at the bodies of mutants, and their guts and body parts, it was a horrid sight. The soldiers walked for 6 miles, as they walked, they began to look for shelter. “Hmm, Isn’t the colony capital a few miles away?” Kings asked the group. “Think so, I’ve visited it, yeah, it is, the city is approximately 2 miles to the north” Cleary responded to the group. “Great, we’re heading down there, lets just hope the city hasn’t been taken…” Durazno finished The company of brothers began to walk down to the vast capital, it was supposed to be sprawling with metro, millions of people High-top security, and most importantly… contain biological research “Hmm, this city looks empty…” Durazno muttered to himself. “Sir, either they evacuated, or… you know the rest” Lieutenant Roberts warned Sergeant Major Durazno. “Well, looks like we’ll have to check, even if it kills us” Cleary finally ended the conversation. The group began to walk through the smooth streets, at the end of the large district, also called, the “Religious Emporium” was a large Catholic Church. The company approached the large Church, opening the doors. The squad looked in amazment at the large Cross, and on it, was our Savior, Jesus Christ. “My God, this is” Sergeant Major Durazno told the group quietly. The group walked in, looking to the sides we’re giant Marble pillars holding the Church up. The group all looked at the Marble, then back at the Cross, to the side, was a statue of the Virgin Mary holding baby Jesus. Before Kings entered, he stopped at the motionless, quiet, holy water, he dabbed his fingers in it, pressing the holy water on his head, chest, left shoulder, then right The group looked at him, then back at the beautiful Church. “Men… I think you all know what you need to do” Durazno declared to his soldiers. “Yes sir!” Cleary replied. The men kneeled down, on the pews, they began to pray, taking off their helmets, as they finished, a dim light was seen through the glass windows. Then, as they stared at the bright light, a large bang could be heard from the doors of the Church, Durazno and his ‘brothers’ grabbed their weapons, their M68s and looked at the oncoming Mutants and Demon Dogs, they gunned the Demon Dogs down quickly, as the mutants approached, they fired their led bullets at the mutants, knocking them over the pews. They splattered the bullets through the mutants. “I’m running out of ammo!” Kings yelled as he began to take out his ODST Combat Knife, slicing into the Mutant’s grayish skin. “Hold them men! Hold the lines!” Durazno ordered his soldiers. “Die, rot in hell you animals!” screamed James Schlarb as he fought off the mutants, though, as he was slicing into one of the mutant’s throats’, it was too much, about seven mutants jumped on him. “No! Save James!” screamed Lieutenant Roberts. “Forget it, leave me…” James quietly said as he pulled out his pistol, putting it right next to his temple, firing. “NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!” screamed Durazno. The company of brothers, as they fought off with their ODST Combat Knifes, looked outside, seeing a bright light, inspired, they began to fight with all their might. “Die, you--” Lieutenant Samuel Roberts cried as he fought off, but, it was too late, he was killed as he was slicing his knife through the neck of a mutant, then pulling his pistol out, pointing it at it’s head, firing through it. The company all fought as well as they could. Thought, the mutants all quickly populated the church, the last few soldiers; Sergeant Major Durazno, Gunnery Sergeant Kings, Private Cleary, Corporal Tony Crispino all made their way to the large, Iron Cross, Durazno smirked, throwing his knife at a large rope holding up the Cross, it fell over, smashing at least 300 Mutants under it. “Run, now!” Durazno commanded his troops. The group of soldiers all ran out, Durazno threw a frag in the front of the Church, the pillars all immediately fell under the mutants, the Church slowly began to fall apart, with the mutants under it. As they ran out, they looked above them. Hundreds of Helljumpers all leaped onto the street, they grabbed large flamethrowers, flaming the front of the Church, incinerating the mutants. “Check if they’re infected” the lead Helljumper ordered his troops. “Sir, they’re fine” one of the medics replied. The Helljumpers smiled, took off their helmets, then signaled them to get aboard their copter. The Sergeant Major nodded. And the remaining soldiers of the company leaped on. As they flew threw the air, you can see the mutants all charging towards the helicopters. The helicopters. Also known as “Snow Leopards” fired their powerful rockets at the mutants, destroying them all. “Its great to see you ODST again” one of the Helljumpers said, taking his helmet off. It was General Shadkhi, the General of the defense of the outer colonies. He smirked, then looked at them again. “Whatever happened to the rest of you?” he said, with a nervous voice. “We lost Riggs, sir, he fought off dozens of mutants before dieing” Gunnery Sergeant Kings quietly told the General. “I’m sorry for the loss, but, its great to have you back… I am awarding you each, congratulations, Durazno, you’ve been promoted to a Major… Kings, your courage has had you promoted to a Captain, Cleary, for your bravery. You’ve been promoted to a Lieutenant. Hmm… who is this one?” General Shadkhi asked Durazno looking at Tony. “I’m Corporal Tony Crispino, one of the personnel of the Colony research facility” Tony said, smiling. “Well, congratulations, Tony, you’ve been promoted to a Lieutenant as well. You all are also being rewarded the Congressional Medals of Honor, congratulations.” General Shadkhi finally finished, he awarded them each, and handed them the Medals of Honor. Tony Crispino stood at the edge of the helicopter, dropping his Medal onto the Church. “This is for the ones who died” Tony finished. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ending Scene 3 Years Later 2435 A.D. The group of soldiers approached the grave of Corporal Riggs, they all looked at it, then put their Medals on the grave. Major Durazno smiled, then looked back at his comrades. “Well… we failed at saving the Colony… Riggs deserves this Medal, he was our comrade, our brother, our friend.” Major Durazno told the group. “Brother, Corporal Riggs… lets hope we see you in heaven.” Cleary quietly said. The four soldiers left, getting into their helicopter. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A dark, shadowy figure approached a dead mutant at the underground research base. He looked at the armory, smirking, then he put his hand over the charred body. “Rise… Child” the dark figure said, as the mutant rose. It kneeled, then got up. The mutant’s first instinct was to kill the personnel in the armory. It slammed open the armory, tearing through the steel like a knife and butter. The personnel all fired their M68s at their enemy, the enemy, dodged the bullets, leaping real fast, jumping right onto the Chief Personnel, ripping him apart. The mutant then looked at the others, killing them brutally. The dark figure in the background smirked and walked away. Laughing… |
