1. Philadelphia Union - Without a single loss this week, this team has moved up. After Kansas City's rough week and a win over FC Dallas, this team should easily take the first spot. Tied for first in goals for, and second place in goals against, it's hard to argue that this team isn't playing the best right now. 2. FC Dallas - One loss in two weeks shows this team is ready come playoffs. This offensive powerhouse played a great week, with only a loss to the number one Philadelphia Union. 3. Kansas City Wizards - After a rough week of play, this team has slipped a bit. They lost a big game to FC Dallas and another rough loss to Toronto, but they still managed to come out with a decent week. This week will be a nice challenge for them. 4. New York Red Bulls - Although they started the week with a loss, they finished the rest of the week decently. They played 4 top 8 ranked teams and managed to only lose 1, and win 1. This next week will prove their power. If they want to stay in the top 8, they need to work on defense. 5. New England Revolution - The best defense so far this season. Although at one point in the week they dipped out of the playoff top 8, they have managed to pick it up. They could be ranked higher but have not proved themselves to be a power yet with too many draws. 6. Chivas USA - A rough week for Chivas doesn't move them much, but they managed pretty decent against good teams. With a little offense to complement the soaring defense, they could easily take over games. I look for this team to improve. 7. Chicago Fire - A great week for the fire moves them up a few spots. A big with against New England bumps them back up as they win three more games after that. They did lose a final game to New England, but they did display some dominance to battling to get back into the top 8. This team could rise soon. 8. Toronto FC - A decent week for this team brings them up. They have displayed power against the top few teams and could be able to pull some of these games out. The problem is, draws haunt this team. With a few big wins this week they could make a rise very fast. |
