PSP and the DS; actually worth is?

Already the PSP and DS are selling well but there are some big problems between these 2 handheld systems. I'll start off with the DS

DS:

Where are the games? There are only 7 right now and only 1 has a score about 8. That means the rest are average games. The graphics are sub par and the only thing going for it is the online play. Nintendo has to release some games for it because I don't see a lot of third party support.

PSP: 12 games at launch and 21 games before the year. Not bad at all. The only problem with this system is it's FLAWS. Just like the PS2, the PSP is already breaking apart.

Lol, I'm not sure if I want a PSP now because I don't want to pay $150 for repairs every 2 weeks.

These are confirmed by IGN.
# Unintentional UMD drive opening - By twisting and wrenching the system, users have been able to make the UMD drive open without sliding the latch.
(This error, we can confirm -- the latch for the UMD drive is on the system's metal casing, and the catch for the latch is attached to the plastic outer shell for the drive, so by applying a twisting pressure on the two surrounding panels melded to the system, the hard plastic pieces can be tweaked enough to slip the UMD slot catch past its latch.)
# Dust or air bubbles in between the screen and the protective layer
# Non-responsive analog nubs
# Broken analog nubs, where the nub has completely snapped off
# Failing or stuck buttons
# UMD slot not closing
# System failing to start up
# Game lock-ups and other performance glitches

So really

A Handheld with no games
A Handheld with defects

which one to choose?

I'll stick with my GBA for now.

Well said.

My next door neighbour works at Sony and he has the PSP. He returned it 1 week later because the analog button wasn't working and he had a dead pixel on his screen.

I have a NIntendo DS lol and I take it to work. Picto Chat is gay because it's not online yet and only people near you can access it. Mario is good but i got tiger woods golf and it was so blotchy.

Buy the DS. I play all my GBA games on it. It's much better quality, better sound quality and Mario DS is fun. Can't wait for Metroid Hunters since it's online

PSP is also known as Play Station Portable.

It's competing against the Game Boy Advance and The Nintendo DS.

Right now, it looks like an amazing system but it comes at a hefty price of $300 Canadian and $350 for Value Pack. Then again it's worth it since the Portable has graphics near equivalent to a PS2.

Right now it's only available in Japan but it will release in North America in March 21st.

So far there 21 games released before this year ends. The DS has 14 in Japan and 8 in NA. The problem the PSP is facing is all it's problems it has. Just like the PS2, it breaks if not treated with care and people with handhelds don't treat their systems with care like their consoles.

The PSP has too many errors. Broken Analog sticks, Dead pixels, lit pixels, short battery life, Throwing Discs, game not turning on. There's a 25% that a PSP will be broken in 2 weeks. Sony has to do something quick before they release this system in NA because i'm not buying a crappy handheld.

The DS has a 7% of getting a dead pixel but a 0.9% of getting anything else.

Right now, I want to get the PSP after it's errors are fixed. Simply because of Tales of Eternia and Tales of Melfes (games that are from Tales of Symphonia) Then there's Gran Turismo 4 and Final Fantasy Advent Children and a new FFVII.

The DS has Mario, Metroid, Wario, Megaman, Viewtiful Joe, Baten Kaitos, Xenosaga, Final Fantasy III and Crystal Chronicles, Mario Kart etc.. so it has good games.

That's good because that's all PSP fanboys gloat about. They can watch videos and listen to music, well I guess the DS can do that as well.

When I first heard of the DS and known all it's features later on, a few ideas came up to my mind quickly.
• Like, the DS camera or Some Camera cartiridge for GBA and DS.
• Or a DS Drawing Program. Since there are a few artist out there that draws on their PictoChat now can save files and/or images on the DS Drawing Program. It can have some tolls and a lot of selections of colors.
• And when the DS has Online capability, it can be played portably by some Online box shaped like a modem but much smaller. For some of us with creative minds, think of the possibilities.

Although these are just some ideas that popped into my mind, again.

I like the Ds but I really felt that thier was no need for dual screens.
