Yes it will benefit Canada. Not as much as it would have if the US had agreed to the protocal as well. That's where quite a lot of air pollution in Canada comes from.

I thought Canada was worse with it because other issues are more of a concern and the kyoto accord does nothing.

I can see why USA didn't agree with the protocol. They produce too much pollution that they can't be saved. I think it's a good approach for Canada for implementing the protocal into effect. In this way, they will be more conservative in their enviornment.

actually USA will have a harder time because their economy is derived from industries that produce pollution.


Then Canada on the other hand, has agriculture and fishing. Foresty may cause harm but they do reforestation.
