Im personally really pissed to here that despite the enviroment the albertan government is building more polluting factories up north......not only r they polluting but 70% of the land used cannot be recovered.......its disgusting to think the albertan government would allow such reprehensible behaviour to continue despite "cleaners" that have been installed......dont get me wrong.........im not som green peace freak or somthing but this really pisses me off.......on top of that the canadian gov't allows this action to continue despite the Kyoto accord......ever heard of a windmill? they're clean and never ending....id rather have those on every hill than a dirty refinery........in europe u had to notice that they had to be cleaner........there was solar energy, windpower, nuclear power.........and all of it in great abundance......u didnt c much factories that burned fossil fuels and wen u did u knew they wer very clean and definetly NOT ther just to be cheap.....but cause it was necessary.......ppl whine about gqas prices but honestly....wats the price of our air? there is none.........without it we're all dead......and at the rate things seem to be going it wont take a long time for the atmosphere to collapse,,,,,,,,,but wat TRULY pisses me off is the fact that CHINA is allowed to pollute as much as it does (if uve ever seen a picture of the rivers ther u would know........) and we just give them more fuel to pollute with in return for cash........im mean truly.....with all the money ther is being made......wat would the cost bw to have mandatory solar panels on all houses? or windmills on the occaisonal farmers field? the cost would be nothing compared to the effects of global warming etc. But besides the chinese.....the americans are abusing thier power too........a wildlife preserve in Alaska has lost such a status so that the americans can make another oil refinery.........its disgusting really......and then we hav bushs invasion of iraq.........honestly i hope that no drop of iraqi oil ever reaches the americans........talk about an "axis of evil", this axis of evil is the americans while the rest of the world spins around as the wheels and hope that the americans dont suddenly decide to do a burnout....which would rip away at the very seams of the tires......in other words if oil consumption isnt reduced dramtically were all gonna live in a much dustier, hotter land than before.......and though it might sound appealing how does it sound to be completely surrounded by salty water that can barely be used, due to the large amount of time it takes to desalizanite it while u stand on a desert without any real food besides the occaionall lizard.....now imagine billions of ppl all stnanding with u........all unable to do anything but think back on why they had to have a car rather than bike their fat ass to work or carpooled or taken mass transport......honestly ppl stop using so much oil........

 Oil is running out. Since many things now are using oils. People using oils is more then earth creating it. One day. Oil will be gone. and cars would be using Solar Power.

as much as environmentalists say, that's not going to happen for thousands of years. The earth will be gone before all the oil is extracted and used up.

But that's not to say we shouldn't still be looking for more environmentally friendly alternatives.

the big issue i have with oil is the huge pollution it causes......canuksfan is rite.....thers more than enuff oil to go around despite wat gas prices r at.......its a matter of how much more can earth take before ;ife can no longer be sustained?

i think the dependency on oil, all beit ruining the environment is bad for another reason...

eventually major countries will become totally dependant on oil, and say terrorists take out that oil supply society would in effect stop....In the military you have a plan and then another plan to put into place if that goes wrong...well if the oil is stopped then there is no backup plan...the windmill farms in the UK could barely keep the UK going for a few months...and the alternatives are few and far between...
