here a little brief, read it and become a pro: Acp Home: Brings you to the main part of your ACP guide tells you also a short log of the last 5 actions of what the admins have done you can also leave messages for other admins in the box applyed. Board Home: Brings you to your board homepage (Were your forums are listed) This is mainly for, if you do not have your board open and installed a code/skin and you wanna see how it turned out you can go check from this link. InvisionFree Network Account Info: This will tell you the information of your board for example when the board was made and its Serial Number this is so you can see what your account info is (Some things from the account info you are not in controll of like the Serial Number) File Manager: This will tell you what files you have for Attachements,Avatars ect. and you can view them this is so you can check on how much space your useing on this one subject. Board Directory: This is so you can choose your catagory of your board and give a small desciption it will appear at the Invisionfree website. Invisionfree Forum: This will bring you too the Invisionfree forums so you can get codes,skins ect. This is very usefull so you do not have to open a new window to find the material you need. Terms of Service: This will bring you to the Invisionfree Website Not Forum and to the link terms of service this will explain the rules of invisionfree when you accept the Terms of Service when you register your board. Support Ticket: This is were you can Customise your board. With ticket this will give special catagorys to the Administration Admin Cp. Ad Removal: This is were you can get rid of the Ads on your board (Located below your banner) If you don't want them advertizeing things and what not on your board. System Settings General Configuration: This is were you can edit the main settings of your board like the Pips that display what rank your members are at and also you can edit your board name here. Secruity & Privacy: This is were you can edit the Secruity of your board and privacy for example you can edit how new members may register Automaticly log in, Email or Validation. Topics,Posts,And Polls: This is were you can controll how many posts can be on one page and what moved and pinned topics are called Changeing the name Along with Sig and Avatar size. User Profile: This is were you can edit what your members can and can't do with there profile some things you can't disable but things like members chooseing one of the selected skins you can controll. Date & Time Formats: This is were you can edit the time and date of your board if you live on EST coast of the United States you would not one the UK time and date so thats what this is for. PM Set up: This is were you can enable and disable PMs you can also edit if you want HTML or IBF in pms if not then simply change them to No. Board on/off: This is were you can turn your board on and off like if you are editing it and don't want members to see it,it will disable them from logging in for the time being and you can give them a short message why they are not able to access the board if you like. Calendar/Birthdays: This is were you can enable events and birthdays or disable them you can also put it so down at the botttom it will tell you # days away till (Whatever event is on that day). Board Guidelines: This is were you can put the rules of your board or something else if you want this does involve HTML but doesn't have too but it is much easier if you do include it. Warning Set up: From here you can enable or disable the warning system you can also edit it of what you want it like and what not. IP Dynamic Light-Set up: This is were you can edit the IP info of your members like what you want your portal to be called and what to topics should it extract of. Forum Control New Catagory: This is were you can make a Catagory for a group of forums you must make one of these before you make a forum or else it will come up with a message. New Forum: Well this is were you can make a new forum and its permissions and stuff like that you can also choose the catagory in forum you put in (If you put it in a forum it will be called a sub-forum) Manage Forums: If you wanna change something about one of the forums you made like its permissions and what not then you can change it from here. Permission Masks: Wanna edit or make a new permission mask like a moderators one you can do it from here this is usefull for forums that you don't want orginal members to see. Re-Order Forums: Put your forums the way you want and number them the way you want like if you want one forum before another you can do that. Moderators: Here you can make a new moderator and put what forums he/she moderates this is not for global moderators or super mods as some like to call it. Topic Multi-Moderation: You can make a Multi-Moderation here like if you wanna move a topic when you close it or the popular Pin in when you close it you can make a multi-moderation. Users and Groups Pre Register: Here you can pre-register a members name this is also usefull if you don't want someone useing a certain name you can pre-register him. Find/Edit/Suspend User:Here you can edit a members profile more then what you can do with the Mod CP and you can also make Moderators or another group from here. Delete User(S): Here you can delete a members name from your board this is like banning only your removeing them from exsistance. Ban Settings: Here you can bann settings you do not want other people to use and you can bann IP Adresses and emails if you just wanna bann the account. User Title/Ranks: Edit the Users title or ranks you want and edit the name and how many pips you want it to have it can go up to a decently high level. Manage User groups: Here you can manage user groups and make new ones or base them on a group some you can not delete because you need them but anyones you create can be deleted as long as someone is not in that group. Bulk Email Users: Send a Mass email to everyone on your board but it will go in there bulk folder all though some people may name it something other then bulk. List Suspended Users: Here you list Suspended users in your board and you can unsuspend them or limit there suspended time to lower or higher. Manage Validation: If you chose to validate all your members who join then you can do it from here and validate or decline the people you want or don't want. Adminastration Manage Word Filters: Here you can edit the filters of the words you don't want to have in your forum like swears of course some people don't mind them. Manage Emotions: Here you can manage smilies and make them a different chipset that someone may have made just simply add them but if you add too many it could make them page very large. Recount Statistics: Here you can recount the Statistics and reset like members posts and members if you wanna restart your board. Skinning and Styles Board Wrappers: Here is were you can put codes in your board like a chatroom or jukebox you must put it in the correct place there are 4 groups. Images: Here you can edit the images in your board like the banner and what not there are alot of things you can edit like the new topic button and new poll. Manage Style Sheets: Here you can get a new skin for your board and edit the CSS of it be sure to delete the CSS thats there before adding the new one. Statistics: This I will explain in one sense there is not much to say this is were you can edit the registration stats and what not also you can edit the new topics stats. Board Logs: Here you can look at the moderator logs that members have done and also Moderators and other things this is for root admin only because you can't if your a Assistant admin or something like that. Manage Word Filters Are you tired of the cussing and profane language? It's time you put your Manage Word Filters option into action. You can add/edit and remove bad word filters in this section. The badword filter allows you to globally replace words from a members post, signature and topic title. So how do ya do it? 1. Log in to Your Admin CP. 2. Find the Administration Section on the left pane menu. 3. Click " Manage World Filters". Note: Loose matching: If you entered 'hell' as a bad word, it will replace 'hell' and 'hello' with either your replacement if entered or 6 hashes (case insensitive) Exact matching: If you entered 'hell' as a bad word, it will replace 'hell' only with either your replacement if entered or 6 hashes (case insensitive) You'll see a graph that shows your Current Filters. You can look you filtered and how it will look when someone posts it, what method you use, ( loose or exact matching), and you have the option to edit or remove the filter. After viewing the chart, you may want to add another filter,...... GO RIGHT AHEAD. Type the word you want to filter in the before text form, type what you want the curse/bad word to look like after it's posted, and the matchiing method you desire. Manage Emoctions In this section you'll have the ability to add or edit emoctions. But you can only add emoctions that have been uploaded. Here the driving direction's. 1. Log on to Admin CP 2. Find the Administration Section on the left pane menu. 3. Click " Manage Emoctions". First, you'll see a chart that shows all emoctions, the ones that came with your board, and then the one's you'll upload. It shows the text command for the emoction that users must type or when they click on the emoction in the post dialouge, the text will come up. Then it tells you if the emotion is clickable. Clickable refers to emoticons that are in the posting screens 'Clickable Emoticons' table. Then you have the choice to edit or remove the emoction. Second, you can start to add emotions if it's already been uploaded. To upload go to the bottom of the page click browse to upload the emoction. Find the source the emoction is in, and click open, then click "Upload Emoction." Ok, the diaolauge above "Upload an Emoticon to the emoticons directory", type in the text command for the emoctionthat users must type or when they click on the emoction in the post dialouge, the text will come up. Then drop down the dropdown box and choose the file. And select if it's clickible. Then click " Add Emoction". Recount Statistics In this section you'll be able to recount statistics. To make an option recount, select Yes in the dropdown menu. You can recount total topic and posts, members, last registered member, and most online statistics. How to see your Admin Logs: Go to your Admin CP > Board Logs > View Admin Logs -Last 5 Admin Actions- Member Name: Shows the username of the member that performed the ACP option. Ex: Quimby Action Perfomed: Shows what ACP option they used. Ex: Board Settings Updated Time of action: Shows what time the ACP option was performed. Ex: Feb 1 2004, 02:47 PM IP address: Shows their IP Address at the time they performed the ACP option. -Saved Administration Logs- Member Name: Shows the member's name of the saved logs. Actions Perfomed: Shows how many ACP options they have peformed. View all by member: Self-explanatory. You get to view all the actions my this member. -Search Moderator Logs- Search for...: Enter in the basis of what you want to search for. Search in...: Choose which way you would like to search. After you are done click Search. |
