We should. Social security net. End of fuckin' story. For those of you voting that we shouldn't, maybe next time you have to go to the hospital we shouldn't pay for you (this applies to Canadians only)... Seriously, same thing. |

3 words. GET A JOB!!! We should not have to pay taxes to those ppl on the streets asking for chum change. They should try walking in2 a building and GETT A JOB! Stop being so fricken lazy and do somethin with their lives. The only thing that I wouldn't mind doing is paying taxes to help homeless children left all alone, maybe those orphaneriums or w.e u call em lol. |

hahaha, ya, jus like Ralph klein. they shud get jobs, but 4 lots of them, a job is useless cuz they aint got no residence and wut not. i don't mind paying tax as longa s it goes 2 programs that will set them up cuz if we don't take care of the problem, it's gonna effect evry1. but im against giving them money DIRECTLY. |

I dont have a problem with that at all, people are homeless for many different reasons, but the bottom line is they need help for what ever reason they are homeless. Im more concerned about rather the money would make it to the homeless or in some polititions pocket |

haha the homeless have so many job places they can work at. First get money from goverment, then work at some job (even though your education is bad you can still get a job) try mcdonalds or something like that |

What if they are disabled or more commonly mentally ill? Both more than likely get SSI which in most states is lower than $600 a month and in california its a little over $800. and most apartment rent for more than that, my rent is more I know that. And they need to come up with deposits, possibly first and last months rent and then what about utilities, electric and gas? Its unfortunate that the answer isnt as simple as you stated but the truth is its not. I volenteer for a womens shelter here in sacramento so i meet alot of homeless. Granted, some are addicts or alcoholics but Id say im being generous in saying thats only about 30% of the homeless. The biggest problem is the elderly, the disabled and the mentally ill. |
