Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to let them know how much they liked their coffees and to request that they send some of it to the troops there.

Starbucks replied, telling the Marines thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor anyone in it , and that they would not send the troops their brand of coffee.

So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should not support them by buying any of their products!

As a war vet writing to fellow patriots, I feel we should get this out in the open. I know this war might not be very popular with some folks, but that doesn't mean we don't support the boys on the ground fighting street-to-street
and house-to-house for what they and I believe is right.

If you feel the same as I do then pass this along,
or you can discard it and no one will never know.

Thanks very much for your support. I know you'll all be there again when I deploy once more.

IN MEMORY OF ALL THE TROOPS WHO HAVE DIED SO THAT WE MAY HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE TO SUPPORT THEM OR NOT!!!

* Regardless if you are against the war, this is not acceptable. We have troops out there dying for this country. My opinion -JULIO-

I think it's fair in what they said. If they don't support the war it is only their opinion. The war on Iraq is such a huge issue. Perhaps they don't support the marines because they may not like how Bush is using his actions in that country and his future plans with Iraq. Boycotting starbucks is hard to do, considering theres a mix reaction when you talk about if USA is doing the right thing in the war or they're depicting a negative influence on society

Some of the people out there fighting don't support the war. All they asked was for some coffee. Just because the marines are in the war doesn't mean they don't deserve some coffee... I don't support they war. But c'mon, they are out there getting killed and all they ask for is coffee. I will not stop going to starbucks, because I love their coffee. But I think what they did is wrong.

I think the soldiers are doing a fine job. Not America. We went into this war because of the terrorist attacks. And now it's turned into a war for oil. That is obsurd.

Without a reliable source I don't think this should be here.

well they went there for more then just terrorism. In fact they increased terrorism, as revolts (protests) are happening around the world. USA also has more enemies now from other nations and This also had to do with natural resources and grabbing a stronghold in the middle east
