pisses me off then after 5 minutes of wasting your time with them, they realize they're wrong and they pretend to forget about it. But if your wrong they rub it in your face

Arrogance is found within many. Some customers go in thinking they're right and find out that they actually are wrong. They suddenly become afraid to be the "inferior" one and make up excuses and anything else that helps them retain this I'm-better-than-you stance.

I haven't actually been in a situation like that, but I have seen it happen many times.

i hate working at bestbuy customers r just soooo retarded...
like frick when im a customer i go into this mental thing that the sales person owns me...

and here i am an innocent brown man selling computers only so my supervisor doesnt grind on me for being lazy and customers think they can walk all over me

the worst is when they try to insult me by insulting bestbuy in some way...and then they think there all that cuz they think im affecting by their worthless comments...and then i say "uhh dude/maam, im only part-time here this sint my future job..." and then they get mad that bestbuy is an unstable working environment

Although I don't have a job I hate those people who play dumb the whole time and throw a fit, then they turn around to ask for the manager and throw a fit with them about the other guy. So they can get a discount on something. Retards.

I got that all the time at EB games.
Customers would come in telling how they think how the future of gaming is gonna be like and they always ask for my opinion. When I say something about Nintendo and success they say its kiddy games. I really can't argue back to customers though.

one time as soon as bestbuy opened someguy started yelling at me about RAM

and i told him what i knew and hes like "ur lying to me" and im like "k dude y the hell would i lie to u im telling u what i no and im pretty sure its fact" and then hes like "im sick of dealing with u bestbuy dumbasses im going to futureshop" and im like "k thanks bye then" and hes like "thats some attitude, how the hell do u expect to go anywhere if ur dealing with ppl like that" and im like "k man, i really dont care, just go to futureshop cuz its early and im tired and i dont want to talk to u" and then he started swearing as he left

he came back 15 min later saying that the guy at futureshop told him the same thing i told him and then he apologized to me

there's some stuff I don't know about vista so I make up some random stuff.

This guy was talking about how he has 32 bit vista and that if he installed 64 bit that if it would clean sweep his PC. I said it didn't and I wasn't sure.

He said "if you're wrong i'll just yell at you"
but I didn't have my name tag on so when he asked me for my name I said "Jinder" cuz it seems brown. Also i only work once a week so this guy can never find me and if he does i'll hide in the hub.

But there's a lot of customers who just come to our store to argue with the employees. It seriously gets irritating. They come in talking about how crappy vista is but I really don't give a shit. This guy was like "Why do you sell vista on these low end PC's?" and I said "No clue.. I have no control over what we put on the shelves" and the guy said "no shit"

what else was I suppose to say?

and some 50 year old guy was talking about disabling remote access. I had no fuckin clue what that meant on vista and I even told him that I don't have vista and i'm not familiar with the term. Then he started rubbing it in my face. Then I got my friend Avi to come and talk to the guy and he ended up pwning mr mutton chops. Then after my friend left the guy came back to me and asked me what PATA meant on a harddrive and I said Parralel ATA port and the guy didn't believe me. Then he read on the box and he said "oh, your right." Then he asked if EIDE will work in this computer and I said "i'll have to check by opening the pc."

The guy seriously thought I was dumb and he's like "the screw to take out the cover of the PC is over here" and he was pointing to a screw. I was like i'm not that fucking dumb to know that. And his wife was right behind him the whole time pretty much scolding remarks about me that I don't care about. She kept asking me about fucking remote access and I thought my friend Avi explained it to her.

k after that, I opened it and I was looking at the PC. To be honest I don't know much about the inside of a PC but I did know that the PC was eide cuz of no cables and I told the guy that and he didn't believe me. Then he said "Do you need your friend to help me again because you don't know?" Then my supervisor "Paul" who was besides me said that I was right and the guy shut his mouth.

Finally the guy wanted to buy the PC and we had 3 in stock but I said we had none because that guy was the biggest prick i've ever met and same with his wife. They started saying that their computer crashed cuz they bought a PC from bestbuy 2 years ago and I said "did you get our service plan" and when they said no I ended up rubbing it in their face that they should've got it.

Then they started negotiating with me on another PC and asked $100 off. When I said no they made me ask my superviser and when he said no they stormed out of the store pissed off.
Good for them, that goes to show you how some customers are..

Oh ya

I got way more stories but that's the most memorable one because these guys tried to make me look stupid even though most of the time I was right.


Another time was when this guy came in wanting to buy a laptop and he said to throw in a $100 Keyboard/mouse for free. When I said I couldn't the guy started asking me why.

First of all and this is to all customers.....here's why we at bestbuy don't always throw in things for free.


1) Laptops and PC's are at stock price most of the time. If the Laptop is on sale then don't expect things to get thrown in free.
2) The fuck, stop asking for free things. You come into a store expecting to buy something; not trying to negotiate for an item.
3) How cheap can you be? It makes you look like you're seriously poor.
4) We only throw in accessories or take some money off them if you buy warranty. Just because warranty is pretty expensive on laptops and desktops.
5) If you're expecting to get something for free without buying warranty then don't get your hopes up.
6) Now of course if you're buying a lot of stuff or other items besides just the laptop and desktop then we might be able to work something out but don't expect a lot.


and finally the Mouse/Keyboard he wanted was $100 but it's on sale for $39. The laptop he wanted was $1200 but it was on sale for $999.

So in reality that guy was saving $270 for this week. I tried explaining it to him but he said that if the keyboard wasn't thrown into the deal then he's not taking the laptop. Also the guy didn't want service ...

like seriously, that shows a lot if you're too cheap to buy a wireless keyboard/mouse that's half off as it is.

Also when guys say that they'll take their job to futureshop. Then by all means go there. It's just about worse over there because the employees there are on commision and they will end up selling almost everything they can so they can get a good paycheck.
