This was just discovered over at FFshrine, Willamns had done a SFX file dump but the sounds are not playable. However...we do have some insight on what the missing songs are. This is what i've read on countless forums and i'm pretty sure it was mentioned in the official SSBB topic. As to why Megaman is not in the game Of all the character exclusions, the reason for Megaman not being in brawl is supported from many sites; including Kotaku and GAF (Gaming Advanced Forums has very high credibility in their postings and very rarely post false information.) Megaman and Ryu were given the nod to be included into SSBB but Sakurai and some Nintendo staff felt sour from Capcom's treatment towards the gamecube. Remember the Capcom-5? Initially those were five games developed by Capcom to exclusively appear on the Nintendo Gamecube. 3 of the game were canned during development, 1 ended up being Killer 7 and the other became Resident Evil 4. However, Capcom chose to port RE4 to the PS2 with more goodies which is why Nintendo has some resentment towards Capcom for their decision. Why there is no Geno and no Super Mario RPG content? You would think that one of the most successful and praised RPG's on the SNES that featured two of the biggest developers at the time would make an appearance in Nintendo's biggest fighting game. Unfortunately, the rumor floating around is that Geno was taken out in the last days of the games release which prompted for game delays. Geno was to be placed where the random character box appears on the character select screen. So why was he taken out? It has to do primarily with Square and how stubborn they are. They couldn't come to a mutual agreement with Nintendo and the character and music (Geno's maze :( ) had to be yanked out. What about SSBM characters? THERE ARE CHARACTER FILES OF THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERS IN SSBB: Roy, Mewtwo, Dr. Mario, Dixie (DKC 2), Plusle and Minum and Tails. So at some point during the development of brawl, these characters were initially made to be playable. But, it seems like nothing turned out of this and the only thing that remains of these intriguing characters is that Sakurai did not delete their character boxes from the game's cache. |
