lol the funny thing about GTA is that you gotta be 18 and over to buy it.
So there wont be massive line ups

Actually, it's 17 and older. And your logic fails because Halo 3 was M and look at those lineups.

I do remember reading in the paper that a kid was turned down to buy the game on midnight launch because he was 14

the esrb is getting out of hand, people are taking it too seriously now, it was meant to be a way for parents to decide what to buy their kids, not for the store to do the parenting for them

The ESRB was meant for that though. It's doing its job and preventing kiddies buying adult games.

And making sure the people selling them are letting the parents and kids know the content of the game.

The only thing wrong is when a parent fully acknowledges the M on the game, but just allows them to get it anyway. I don't have a gripe with kids like 14, 15, or 16 buying M rated games. It's when a parent asks me if GTA is a good game for their 10 year old. I had this customer ask me that specifically, plus the kid wanted to know if there was a decent multiplayer in it. It's like, come on.

It doesn't help that a lot of games today are Mature either. Look at the SNES era. There were mainly E or T games, but hardly any M games available. Sure was a different gaming world when I grew up.
