His reason is pretty acceptable. I can understand where he's coming from at least, but I don't see any real reason to be uncomfortable about Resident Evil 5. It's set in Africa. It's logical to have the infected there to be African American. If it was set in American we would see a bunch of white people getting mowed over or any other country with it's native people for that matter. I don't believe the people at Capcom would ever want to make a game that pushes racial tension or anything, but at the same time I see where all these people are coming from when you look at it without knowing any plot or reason as to why Chris is shooting all these African Americans. We can just be glad you don't have to shoot babies or anything, cause then the shit would really hit the fan. Besides, if Capcom can't choose to place their game where they want, we'd probably get something much less realistic and therefore less of what we expect from the series known as Resident Evil. |
