Carlton lost to a full strength geelong by 3 goals. Tarran and Simpson were late outs but still plenty of positives. Cripps might be an early firmer for rising star after a lazy 32 touches.

Cripps has locked himself in for round 1 with that. Was solid last week too with 19 touches and 7 tackles. :D

Liam Jones had one of those games where it looked like he could almost be in a position to dominate, but just falls short. If we stick with him hopefully he comes good. I'd expect one of him or Watson to play round one, I'd give Jones the first go.
