3 points is enough to make a line so make some calls on teams based on the first 3 rounds of the season. Mine Gold Coast will finish higher than the Giants, the longer Gablett misses the more likely this is to happen in my opinion. He is restricting the growth of the rest of the list. The top 3 is clear cut, Hawks, Sydney and Freo, probably in that order. The last spot in the 4 is a fucking lottery, that isn't a knock on Radlelaide but they beat a horrible North, and the Pies*/Demons. Maybe they might be in the 4 in the "What we know after round 8 thread" *However the Pies aren't as bad as people are making out, they aren't good but that doesn't mean they are bottom 6 Edited by Tigerboy, 20 Apr 2015, 12:14 PM.

Not sure Sydney are as clear cut as you are making them out to be, they should have lost the game to GWS and possibly would have lost to the drug cheats in round 1, all they can hang their hats on is thrashing a downward sliding Poort team. I agree on Adelaide, we have no results that say "on the way up", I mean our intensity has been really, really good but at present we haven't beaten a side who I think would be in the second week of the finals. I believe all we can take out of the first three rounds are there are a lot of teams who are just very ordinary at the present, there are teams that haven't got a win yet that still look like they are in pre season mode. |

I realise I'm a bit higher on Sydney then most.... but I'm always a bit higher than most. Mainly because they have been so poor but have decided they needed to show up when required. People read too much into the first 3 quarters of round 1 rather then absolutely destroying a team in a swimming pool in the last. Same with GWS, the Giants looked like they controlled the game for large parts but you never thought they would beat Sydney as whenever they got close Sydney kicked 3-4 in a couple of minutes and put it beyond doubt again |

We know Carlton still think the game only lasts 2 quarters.

I haven't, you are in that group fighting for fourth. But if you lose to the Hawks this week, yes you have dropped 3 games to 3 good teams but it leaves you very little margin for error the rest of the year |
