Our goal is to equip saints to go out and witness to not only those on the internet, but to those we come into contact with on a daily basis. Through discussion and debate we are confident that growth in the knowledge of Jesus Christ will increase as we learn to perfect holiness in our daily lives, and to also strive for the doctrinal purity and harmony that is to be a primary characteristic in the mature Christian.

Members of differings faiths and atheists are welcome here, but we will moderate the behavior of all who come here, and ask that civility be kept in all discussion.

Christians follow one of two philosophies in giving. Some take care of their own needs first and then give out of what is left; others give to God first and trust him to take care of their needs out of what is left. Most Bible teachers believe we should follow the second option. I have come to the conclusion we should do both.

God commanded the Israelites to give the first of their harvest to him. He also commanded them not to harvest all of their grain but to leave some for the poor to gather. They first gave directly to God but then gave their leftover grain indirectly to God by giving it to the poor.

We should give first to God and then meet out own needs out of what is left but we should try to manage that so that we have something left over so we can give even more to God.
