Received in an email:

1: Why are we told not to judge all Muslims based on the actions of a few lunatics but we are told to judge all gun owners based on the actions of a few lunatics?

And I would add to this that the ratio is highly in favor of Islamic radicals...

2: Why do we hear about Social Security running out of money but not food stamps or welfare? The first group worked for their money...the second didn't.

3: Why are we cutting benefits to Veterans, no pay raises for our military, and cutting the military to a level lower than before WWII, but not stopping payments to illegal aliens, such as monthly payments for each child, money for housing, Food Stamps, free education including college, and also the right to vote?

The author asks...am I the only one missing something?

The Bible says that in the last days many will depart from the faith and follow the teachings of demons. We see evidence all around us that this is taking place now. If demons have that much influence on Christians their ability to deceive unsaved people must be much greater.

America has drifted away from believing and trusting in God but it is still an influence for good. It is an ally of Israel and American Christians provide much of the support for the worldwide preaching of the gospel. Its destruction would remove a major obstacle to Satan's plans for the world.

It is clear from prophecy that America will eventually fall under the control of the Antichrist and we can do nothing to prevent that. We can slow down the process by praying for our government and becoming involved in political activities. The most important thing to do is to become more active in evangelism. Ultimately we can't save America but we can tell others how they can be saved so they will escape its destruction.

I heard recently that there are 40 million "Christians" that are not registered to vote. I know that there are some that feel that is getting too involved in "worldly" things, but for many...I think it is simply disinterest and self interest.

Targeting political boards on forums is not a bad idea, and getting started sooner than later is something I need to do.

God bless.

Yes, and it somehow benefits the Democratic party? I think if we do not have an interest in our country than others even outside the country will. Part of the conclusions I had come to from a recent Liberal discussion was that it is a tactic to separate us from our country, saying there is no place in politics for our faithful convictions. Lastly, it is more a concern to me as to why America's conscience is no longer being spoken to by most churches? Read where Florida is trying to squander up support from the IRS to start denying Tax exemption from churches that speak on issues, issues that usually involve sin. It amazes me how people can suggest that sin does not only affect an individual but the people around them. One more month.... this is going to set the atmosphere for the next presidential election.

Losing tax exemption by political advocacy is not really very new, brother. My own Pastor is aware of it yet is able to speak about the modern state of politics. What is funny is that atheists can also claim this exemption as they have been found by certain courts to be a "religious group," one representative becoming greatly offended by being deemed a "minister."

Bet they wouldn't lose exemption for political bias, which is a staple of Secular Humanism.

In the conversations I have had with liberals it can get ridiculous. But, if we could get Christians to show half the interest in shaping our country that liberals do...the war would be won.

God bless.

They are calling good evil, and evil good. Why has Houston, TX got a lesbian mayor who wants all pastors to turn in their sermons for her "stamp of approval". Violation of the first Amendment. The homosexuals drag our nation into the sewer, I think they ought to be taking the ride. God hates it so why should we put up with it? Only answer is, God will have His vengeance.

But until that time we have been called to minister to the lost. I know we probably all have those we may be inclined to think "They sure have it coming", but if we only consider our condition before being saved it may generate more compassion for the lost. There is not one reason any of us can give for why we should have been saved and those that have not have not been, save for that old saying, "But for the Grace of God..."

But, there may be a day when we are told why some have not been saved, and Lord forbid that we be held accountable for hatred rather than a consistent message of the Gospel given to those so desperately in need of it.

And who knows, that Mayor might be saved if she were exposed to the messages of some of our Gospel Preachers, lol.

Stranger things have happened. I would suggest to her, "Well, before it is actually Law, you might go ahead and give your editing skills a go."

God bless.
