I've spent a long time working on making this game and finding ways to make it unique, and now I feel I should show it to other people who know how to do these things better than I do.

In this game, all Village and Mafia PRs have a secondary ability. Every night starting Night 2, a random Village and Mafia PR each gain a secondary ability until all of them have their abilities.

I super like the secondary ability thing. With everyone not getting them all at once that part seems okay balance wise to me.

I can't say if the roles overall are, I suck at that, but I really like the whole concept of this.

It would be very interesting if RB gets his effect after Arin gets powered up. It would basically render him useless.

The main thing hitting me right off is there are a LOT of mafia roles. I'll have to examine more later to see if balance issues.

Agreed on the large number of Mafia roles. All of the secondary abilities seem fine, and a cool setup.

Also the subtitle is "Nuzforums prep" so I assume it'd be run on the Nuzforums.

Yes, it will be on Nuzforums. This is why there are a lot of Mafia PRs, because there will be a lot of Mafia members. The reason there are five Maf PRs is because the village has the same number of PRs.

Anyway, more specific concerns:

-Not sure if Danny will end up being too good.
-Not sure if having a Godfather and a Lawyer after only a few nights is a bit too much.
-Uncertain on win conditions of third parties.

And Shini does bring up a good point about Bandit Arin and Racist Bassist being a bit screwy. Maybe make Bandit Arin only gain Tracker abilities?

Danny has severe drawbacks if he tries to stay on a PR. They can't use their ability, and they can't talk later on. I think he's fine. Remember that Racist Bassist is only useful if he actually targets the same person Arin investigates, much like Danny will only be useful if he's actually blocking mafia kills.

But the thing is, if Arin knows who all the village PRs (And presumably one of the third parties) are, he will know that any visiting roles are in fact someone who should be lynched. That's why I feel Arin should only have Tracking abilities. I won't change it for now, though, in case anyone has anything else to say.

While I'm at it, here are some other ideas I had for other Third Parties that I dropped because in favor of the current ones.

Wolfjob: Cult Leader

Jon: Angel (This was before I decided I should have my Third Parties be unique)

Ninja Brian: Killer

Him (From Table Flip): I didn't actually think of any coherent ideas for this. I played around with the idea of a Mastermind, but I don't like to make players feel like they were cheated out of a win. I also had the idea of having Him make the decision any time there was a confusion on the rules. For example, if someone asked if Suzy's immunity works for lynches or not, I would PM Him and he would respond with a decision. Then I realized that doesn't work when he also has his own win condition, as he would simply make things be as much in his favor as possible. Maybe I'll just include Him in flavor, if there is any.

I pretty much came up with the idea of Jacques being in the game last night. Everything else was thought up months ago.

I also had the idea of making Jon be Village sided in the early stages, and the sixth Mafia PR was going to be WORLD FAMOUS PUGISILIST TOMMY RAY HANDLEY.

The silence is meant to be a drawback. I could remove it, though, since there's already the Hook and Arin only getting Alignment if Danny ever protects Suzy. I can also see the village hoping very much that Danny does not gain his secondary ability just because of the silencing. I can see where you're coming from with that.

So since my turn should be coming in a few days, I'm bringing this up again to mention a few changes I've made over time. See if anyone sees any new balance issues.

-Danny no longer silences his target after upgrading.
-Suzy cannot be protected by Danny at all. Arin still only learns alignment if Danny accidentally targets Suzy.
-Racist Bassist will not show up on Arin's Watcher or Tracker reports.
-Jacques' action that would give the target a gun has been replaced with the target being told they were visited by Jacques.
-Jacques can now choose to direct all three actions at the same person, but it will only work if the target is Jon.
