So, the basic premise of this would be that everyone gets a new role at the start of each night phase. The only thing that won't change is which side you are on. As a result, people who end up as Villagers have a chance to become relevant the following night. The number of PRs wouldn't change with each switch, so if the game starts with four village PRs, and one dies, the next night will only have three village PRs. Oh, and there would be a different list of PRs each night. While one night could be a standard cop/doc/vig set, the next night could end up with a gunsmith, enchantress and blacksmith. Only posting this for discussion for now since I already have a game going. I might host this once there are less games running. |

Now, why go up there when people are dying to get down here?

The big problem I see with it is that they don't switch sides. Say Vig claims Day1, gets all PRs organized, and Night2 becomes a villager. Day 2 they're all "hey, I'm a villager now, new PRs claim to me" and then you have a whole new set of cleared people. That'd make it really, really difficult for the mafia. Not sure if the game would be any more balanced if people could switch sides, but if so that'd be a neat concept. Total chaos. |

Oh, that is a good point. The mafia would have to be given some major advantages to avoid getting ruined immediately. And then balancing gets even weirder from there. Switching sides would basically mean whoever happens to be on the winning side when the game ends is handed the win, which is why I threw that idea out immediately. |

Or mafia would just have to claim PRs on some of the phases. |

That could work if the list of PRs is not revealed at all so nobody knows what could happen. |

Or if there's like a list of possible PRs, but the same PR could never appear two phases in a row or something like that. |
