Okay, I'm dead for sure, so I'll fuck over the guys who fucked me and my partner... PSN and TK/Bumblebeta... They told my partner that they wouldn't vote for me and we would live So I'll let everyone else know that they're together... Unfortunately, I can't inform you of their roles, because they possibly lied about that (they claimed Interceptor, for your information). Here is a reminder: It is possible to joint win if the last two couples have no chance of killing each other. Remember, if PSN and TK are willing to backstab us, then what's to say they won't backstab you... But seriously, I would like to know why I was lynched... |

I'll post proper flavour for previous and this phase after I exercise. In the meantime... Eliminated: PurpleMagician and KirbyIsPink - Devotion/Passion As the remaining two couples have no means to eliminate each other... Winners: Bumblebeta/PSN Strykr - Trust/Devotion and Lejimuz/Ferret - Trust/Devotion Spreadsheet. I can't believe my OTP won the love competition. What a day. Anyway, I hope everyone enjoyed the game! Good game: PorygonSeizure, Mattelonian, KirbyIsPink, PurpleMagician, SpectrumPanda, SnakeWrangler, LetterSequence, SnowRemnant, Hyp-R, Norhian Samur, CSketch, SML6 |

End of Day 3: The audience seems well pleased with the hysterics of the last minute turnaround from PSN and Tk, and the show goes to a commercial break to give the remaining competitors a chance to clean up. "Four couples left," Aviana reminds the audience cheerfully, "but at the end of the day, only one will become a winner. Let's start taking guesses on who it'll be!" This prompts an excited discussion about favourites among the audience, largely commenting on the duel of the duets - though there was some general surprise about two couples picking the same song, and even more heated debate about which couple sang it better. In the buzz of discussion, the hostess leaves as well to change out of her referee uniform. Once everyone is ready, Aviana cheerfully sets to explaining the next challenge. "So far you've shown coordination in performing with your partners, and in challenging physical activities. But how well do you two really know each other? It's time to find out!" Two assistants come out with four large whiteboards. "In this contest, we will be asking several questions about personal preferences, habits, and so on! One partner will write their own answer to this question on the whiteboards provided. The other partner will have to give the answer they believe their partner chose! The first to get their answer wrong will be the couple that is eliminated! Simple enough, right?" The audience, well familiar with this challenge, cheers enthusiastically. Sketch can't help but smirk to himself at listening to this. He and SML might have only been together for a short time, but they'd spent several long nights talking, and getting to know each other. He'd carefully detailed every preference, planning to use everything he learned to make his beloved as happy as he could. SML looked to Sketch with a smile and nodded, also pleased. SML may not be as detail-oriented as Sketch, but still, he paid attention too. Surely the two of them couldn't be beaten at this. It doesn't take long for the contest to begin, and the questions start with simple enough preferences. Favourite colour, favourite movie, favourite activity to do together, and so on. The partners in each couple switch off between questions, and everyone seems to be answering with at least reasonable confidence. Sketch and SML, as they had expected, were answering with extreme confidence. They just knew each other so well - "Which celebrity do you admire the most?" Shit. Sketch looks at SML, and sees the same worried look in his partner's face. It wasn't that Sketch didn't know the answer to this question, of course. However, SML had said in the same breath that he never wanted anyone else to know what that answer was. "I trust you with that information," he'd explained with a laugh, "but I'd be mortified if anyone else knew, you know?" Sketch had understood, and promised to never tell anyone, and given him a light kiss on the cheek to make sure he didn't feel judged by Sketch. No, the problem wasn't that Sketch didn't know the answer. The problem was that Sketch didn't know what answer SML would actually give. Still, SML writes something down, and Sketch sees his fingers cross. He takes a deep breath, and resolves to give this his best shot. "It's... Peyton Manning," he answers, trying to give something that wouldn't be embarrassing for SML. This was respectable, right? SML did like football, so maybe...? His heart sank when the answer on the board for SML was someone else. Sketch didn't quite process what Aviana and the judges say as the couple is dismissed from the show. He slips his hand into SML's as the two walk out together. "I know that's not the real answer," Sketch murmurs, only loud enough for SML to hear. "I know the real answer is Harry Styles." SML mutely nods. "Thank you for not giving that away," he chokes out. "I'm sorry..." "It's okay." Sketch stops walking, and SML looks up to him apologetically. "In the end, my promise was more important. You're the real prize, and I wouldn't betray your trust for anything." The statement is rewarded with a grateful and deep kiss. End of Day 4: After a little delay, and a little set up, Aviana explains the next challenge. "The canny observers among you may have noticed none of the questions from the last round featured food," she comments, winking. "That's because we didn't want to give any hints to help with this next challenge! You'll notice the setup for our three competing couples this time looks like a kitchen, yes?" The hostess gestures behind her, showing two sets of everything a functional kitchen could hope for, and a slew of ingredients. "For this next challenge, our couples will be preparing their ideal romantic dinner together, within a certain time limit - however, the preparation won't be together." She gives a wink as assistants separate the partners of each couple and continues. "Surely, our couples know what a romantic dinner looks like to each other! So for this challenge, one person will prepare the main dish, in one kitchen, and the other will prepare a complimentary side dish. Our panel of judges will be the ones to determine which dinners are most coordinated. The ones who clearly had no idea what the other was thinking will be out! Are you ready to see some delicious food served up?" The audience cheers again, and some even comment about looking forward to smelling the food. "Then with that, let's begin! You will each have an hour to prepare your meals!" Some participants seem to think this not enough time, and scramble into the kitchens to assess the options. Fortunately, the most common and necessary ingredients and spices seem to be readily available, and once the task is set, nearly everyone seems to calm to a regular pace. Two participants, however, seem a little strained. "We usually make a slow cooker dish," one contestant, Kirby, mutters to himself. "It's lower effort, we can set it up early, and focus on spending time with each other during the day..." "And it's a one dish meal too," his partner in the other kitchen, Purple, is saying as if he knew his partner's complaints. "No side dishes, usually. What would be a fast fix that's sort of like that dish...?" The two do their best to improvise, but sadly, each takes a different train of thought in approaching the task. Kirby thought of a completely different meal that they liked, while Purple tried to replicate what might be the side dish portion of their favourite slow cooker meal. Individually, each item is delicious, but together, the two clearly have nothing to do with each other. As they walk out together, Kirby mutters, "That challenge wasn't especially fair." "There were definitely a lot of assumptions going into that one," Purple agrees. "I guess all we can really do at this point is make the best of it, right?" "And hey, it's not like you got nothing for being here, you know?" a third voice adds to the conversation. The couple looks over in bewilderment before they realise Letter is lounging in the lobby. Purple tilts his head. "You're still here? Didn't you and Snow get out a while ago?" Letter sighs dramatically. "We did, yes... Snow left so abruptly, I had to let the studio know I would come back for the hotel gift certificate later. Of course, our getting out so early may have been a premonition of things to come, since we also broke up." "Oh no, really?" Kirby looks devastated to hear this - the pairing of Letter and Snow had seemed a little unlikely, of course, but the idea of a passionate love between such extremes was the kind of thing he really loved to see. "What happened?" "Well, the breakup was on friendly terms, if it's any consolation." Letter gives a rueful smile and stands up. "It was just pretty clear we were looking for different things, you know? Like, Snow didn't really have any appreciation for me in this dress, and just wasn't too interested in more physical elements, you feel?" The couple takes a good look at Letter and his choice of dress for the first time. The young man is wearing a lacy, dark teal dress, flatteringly tight on the bodice, and showing off his hard-earned pecs. The neckline is cut precariously low, just high enough to avoid being deemed indecent, and Letter compliments this open chest area with a dazzling string of gems. The skirt has some volume to it, with a cut a little above the knees in the front and gracefully flowing to a little above the ankles in the back. He's also wearing some very high turquoise heels, and while his balance should be precarious on those stilettos, the young man seems undaunted, and his showcased toned legs do well to keep him firmly in place. "Th-that entire outfit sure seems appreciable," Kirby finally gets out, his face flushed as he looks Letter over again. Purple might have been more upset about this reaction if he wasn't similarly overwhelmed and red-faced. Letter tilts his head, looking at the couple, and gives a slow, warm grin. "Well, hey, I do have this gift certificate to a fancy hotel, and no one to share a room with now," he comments, winking suggestively. "And you two could probably use a pick-me-up, right?" He walks over to them, more balanced in those heels than one would think possible, and puts an arm around each partner. "I can think of some fun the three of us could have together, if you'd like..." And with his hands caressing their shoulders meaningfully as the three of them walk out of the studio together, Kirby and Purple look to each other and nod. Just for one night, this could be quite a lot of fun... Game end will come tomorrow, I'm going to sleep. |

Two couples re-enter the filming room, dressed in their best suits. PSN and Tk wear matching bowties, while Ferret and Lejimuz sport classic black ties. Aviana's changed as well, now dressed in a long, green gown with a halter top. "Ladies and gentlemen, here we are, with our last two couples!" she calls out, enthusiasm not having dropped the entire show. "That means it's time for our..." "Final Showdown!" The audience says these two words with her very emphatically, and immediately cheers. The hostess claps for a moment. "Yes, indeed, it's time for our top contestants to show their prowess in one final, decisive showdown! Til now, we've tested their abilities to show their connectedness in performing, in physical challenges, in the kitchen... this last showdown will test their intellectual partnership!" She steps to the side as a curtain is pulled away. Behind the curtain, now well-illuminated, are two chess tables, with pieces lined up and ready to go. Giving the competitors enough time to look at the boards, and the crew enough time to flash lights around dramatically, Aviana then launches into an explanation of this game format - in both games, when one player takes an opponent's piece, they can then give the captured piece for their partner to use, the time limit for the turns, and so on. It turns out she's mostly explaining to the camera, as both couples know the game already and the audience is completely zoning out. "How are you feeling?" PSN asks Tk in a low voice, stepping close to the young man and nuzzling his cheek. Tk smiles at the attention. "I'm a little nervous. Chess isn't really my best game, but... I'm sure you'll make up for whatever I can't quite figure, right? We're good together like that." "Absolutely." Tk gets a hug for his nerves, and PSN gives him a gentle smile. "Whatever's thrown at us, we can take it." Ferret and Lejimuz seem less talkative and concerned, and without much delay the games get underway. Despite Tk's concerns, the couples are reasonably well matched, with neither seeming to be more than a move or two ahead of the other, and with which pair is ahead flipping often. The audience's attention is less than devoted as the games press on, with chess being an unexciting spectator sport, and the camera crew makes sure to keep focused on catching the moments of glory. Aviana chatters with the judges, watching as the games go on. The episode will feature several interviews from friends and family about the two couples between moves, so she isn't particularly needed to talk and comment now. Thinking about this, she can't help but think it a little strange that both Ferret and Lejimuz's contacts had so little to say about them, in comparison to PSN and Tk. That was the kind of material that could lead to a tiebreaker if need be, she supposed, though fortunately in all the time they'd been doing the show, the chess matches had never, ever, almost couldn't end in a - "Tie?" A cameraman exclaims in surprise, looking back to the judges' panel in bewilderment and rearranging his equipment so Aviana could come forward. The hostess blinks in surprise and walks towards the boards. Sure enough, both games had managed to pin their opponent into a checkmate at the same time, and the players that accomplished this were part of opposite couples. "Well, this is a first on Prove Your Love!" Aviana exclaims, giving a bright smile she isn't really feeling. There couldn't be two winners, she knew. Only one couple could have the truest love, by nature. Besides, the studio and the sponsors wouldn't want to double the prizes, and halving them was impossible with the new car on the line. It was equally impossible to do another game, there just wasn't time to film more... "A dramatic tie in our final showdown! Still, there's been quite enough to consider with the show so far... It's time for our judges to decide among themselves whose love is the truest!" Chipper as Aviana declares this, one of the participants seems to disagree, and Ferret stands up angrily. "You've got to be kidding me! I'm a natural at chess!" he complains, looking aggravated. "A real pro!" Lejimuz bites his lip and stands up to try to calm his partner, but before he gets a chance to do anything, Ferret blurts out, "I didn't hook up with Lejimuz to get blocked from the prize now!" A tense silence comes across the studio as the implication of this statement settles in, and Aviana clears her throat after a moment. Good thing the editing crew can probably take that out... "Well, we'll be back in a few minutes, after our judges get a chance to confer? And hey, let's take votes from the audience too! Who do you think has the truer love - is it the deeply attached PSN and Tk, or the vivacious Ferret and Lejimuz? We'll be right back, in just a few moments!" Moments later, judges and the audience quickly agree as to who the winner of the competition is - and interestingly enough, the winner matched the couple the audience guessed from the start... "The truest love belongs to PSN and Tk! Congratulations!" It takes even less time for the young men to sob with relief, kiss each other happily, talk about their planned trip with the money... as the show winds to a close, but before the cameras stop rolling, Tk eventually pulls away from PSN. This causes some confusion from the young student, but that confusion quickly turns into surprise and elation as Tk gets down on one knee and pulls out a small box. "PSN," Tk starts, clearly struggling to get the words out through such emotion. "Will you make me the happiest man alive?" Aaaaaand done! Again, hope you guys had fun! |
