Today... the killing game returns. Class trial is now in session. All rise. Welcome to: DANGANRONPA V3 MAFIA School Rules (every participating student is required to read these) General Rules #1: Students are required to cohabitate at the Ultimate Academy for the remainder of the unforseeable future. #2: Students will be split into the Hope Faction and the Despair Faction. The Hope Faction achieves victory in the Killing Game when all members of the Despair Faction have been eliminated. The Despair Faction achieves victory when their ranks outnumber those of the Hope Faction. #3: Students are required to play for the interests of the faction which they are assigned. Playing against faction will not be tolerated. #4: Phases will be split into Nighttime and Daytime. During Nighttime, the Despair Faction will be given 24 hours to kill one of their fellow classmates, and both factions will also be allowed to complete any other Nighttime actions during this time. During Daytime, the Hope Faction will be given 48 hours to discuss and lynch one other student in thread. #5: Phase lengths may be altered at Monokuma's discretion. #6: A majority vote from all other living students is required in order for a Daytime lynch to succeed. #7: Participation in the Killing Game is mandatory for all students on the Signup List. Each student is required to make three meaningful posts every two days. If a student has been Silenced, they are temporarily exempt from this rule. Students are discouraged from joining the Signup List if they cannot adhere to this rule. #8: Metagaming, which is the act of using information not directly related to the Killing Game in order to draw conclusions within the Killing Game, is strictly prohibited. #9: It is prohibited for any student to publicly share screen captures or copy-pasted text logs of information that was confided to them in private. #10: Your Monopads are very important items. Make sure you do not damage them. #11: A body discovery announcement will occur when three or more students discover a body. #12: Students have free rein to explore the Ultimate Academy as they see fit. #13: Students who violate these rules will be exterminated with extreme prejudice by the Exisals. #14: The headmaster may add additional regulations to this list at any time. Game Specific Rules #1: Any student participating in the Killing Game can be assigned to either the Hope Faction or the Despair Faction, in tradition with the previously hosted Killing Game (with one exception). However, alignment is revealed upon death. #2: Every student will begin the game with no recollection of their talents or abilities, with one exception. #3: At the beginning of every Nighttime phase, a predetermined number of Hope Faction students and a predetermined number of Despair Faction students will be affected by the Flashback Light. Students affected by the Flashback Light will gain full recollection of their talents and will be able to use their abilities during the corresponding Nighttime and the following Daytime. #4: Students affected by the Flashback Light will lose recollection of their talents at the turn of Nighttime after their memories have been activated, and a new set of students will be activated. Please Note: Some students may only be activated once per game. #5: Which students are chosen to be activated is completely random, with one exception. #6: The number of students that are activated will decrease as the number of activatable students in each faction also decrease. #7: No Hope Faction student will be activated twice in a row, barring exceptions. Despair Faction students are exempt from this rule, due to the smaller size of their group. #8: Which students have been activated will not be made public knowledge. Game Specific Rules, in layman's terms #1: Alignment is regardless of role in this game, similar to the first round of SHSL mafia that was hosted here. Any role can be aligned with either Village or Mafia (with one exception). However, alignment is revealed upon death. #2: Every player starts the game unable to use their actions, with one exception. #3: At the start of every Night Phase, a predetermined number of Village and a predetermined number of Mafia will be chosen to be activated. Once a player is activated, they are able to use their abilities for that Night and the following Day. #4: Activated players will lose their abilities at the turn of every Night Phase, and a new set of players will be activated. Please Note: Some roles may only be activated once per game. #5: Which players are chosen to be activated is completely random, with one exception. #6: The number of roles that are activated will decrease as the number of activatable roles each faction also decrease. #7: No Village player can be activated twice in a row, barring exceptions. The reason why Mafia players can be activated twice in a row is simply because they are a smaller faction. #8: Which players are activated will not be made public knowledge. Roles The following students may only be activated once per game: Kaede (Despair) Shuichi (Despair) Miu (Despair) Ryoma (Hope) キイボ ● K1-B0 (Keebo) | Ultimate Robot ![]() Hope: Beacon of Hope - You're a super-advanced android developed by Professor Idabashi, and while you are very humanlike indeed, you also come equipped with some pretty sweet features. One of those features includes the ability to override the Flashback Light, so, during Daytime, you can choose one role (not student or player, role) to have their actions guaranteed to be activated during the next Nighttime. You can even choose to activate a role several times in a row. On top of that, you're able to use this ability all the time - you don't need to be activated in order to use this ability. If for some reason, your target dies before the end of Daytime, you will be allowed to change your target. Despair: N/A - You're a robot and don't really have a lot of concept of morality so much as you just look at things that are objectively right and wrong, and your analysis of this Killing Game has told you that you must play for the Hope Faction at all times. Kiibo will always be aligned with the Hope Faction. アカマツ カエデ ● Kaede Akamatsu | Ultimate Pianist ![]() Hope: Motivator - From the get-go, you've managed to establish yourself as the de facto leader of everyone stuck in this Killing Game, and you're hopeful that you can all escape together. With your warm and uniting voice, you can choose another student to motivate and perform their action twice the next time they're activated. (This action fails if the student you select does not have an applicable night action.) Despair: Paralyzer - When you're in despair, you're able to use that uniting voice of yours to convince everyone else to go down the wrong path. When you're activated, you can freeze the vote during Daytime and cause any other votes afterward to be locked in immediately. サイハラ シュウイチ ● Shuichi Saihara | Ultimate Detective ![]() Hope: Cop - Whether you believe in it or not, you have a gifted intuition and a pretty good head on your shoulders, and this translates into you being amazing at investigating crimes and uncovering the truth. On the nights when you are activated, you can investigate another student and discover what their alignment is. Despair: Paparazzi - Of course, this ability can also be used for furthering the agenda of despair. Upon activation, you may pick one other student. When you die, that student's role will be revealed to the rest of the Despair Faction. (You do not have to die on the same phase as your activation for this effect to happen.) オウマ コキチ ● Kokichi Oma | Ultimate Supreme Leader ![]() Hope: Trickster - You really don't have a single care in the world about what the repercussions of being in this Killing Game are, and as a matter of fact, you're so twisted in the head that you want everyone to enjoy it. Similar to the way Monokuma encourages and goads on the killing, you try to find ways to keep the killing happening and keep it fun and interesting. On the nights when you are activated, you will give out a random item (gun, bulletproof vest, crystal ball, knife, or snowball) to a random person. Despair: Slasher - However, you're still quite twisted. Like, you're really fucked up, and if you're pushed too hard, you'll start to show just how crazy you are. On the nights you're activated, you can pick one person to stab, causing them to bleed out and die at the end of the following day. モモタ カイト ● Kaito Momota | Ultimate Astronaut ![]() Hope: Detective - You're not exactly the brightest, but you've got a lot of heart and are super loyal to your friends! You're also the self-proclaimed partner to Shuichi, and help him with his investigations. But again, you're not the brightest, so when you're activated, you can go and investigate someone, but the best you can do is look at someone and discern who they are, not their alignment. Despair: Saboteur - You're also good at technology? Maybe? Okay maybe you fake being good at technology. But regardless, when consumed by despair, you choose to let yourself become embodied by your shortcomings. On the nights when you are activated, you can pick another student and make any items they have malfunction. Guns will kill the shooter, vests will no longer work, knives will break, crystal balls will reveal the wrong alignment, and snowballs will hit the thrower. イルマ ミウ ● Miu Iruma | Ultimate Inventor ![]() Hope: Gunsmith - You're brilliant and beautiful and intelligent and you know it! And while you put up this act of being an independent and abrasive lone wolf, you're often willing to use the machines that you invent to help other people. On the nights when you're activated, you can give out a gun to another student. If they shoot it, there will be a 50% chance that they are revealed. Despair: Heartbreaker - You've got a rockin' bod, and you know that all the guys and all the girls want you, so if needed, you know you can use that to your advantage. When you're activated, you can pick another student to seduce. When you die, that student will die along with you. (You do not have to die on the same phase as your activation for this effect to happen.) シロガネ ツムギ ● Tsumugi Shirogane | Ultimate Cosplayer ![]() Hope: Monkey - You don't have much of a personality on your own, and you admit this yourself, but as a cosplayer, something you're really good at is copying. On the nights when you're activated, you can pick a student, and if they are also visiting someone that night, not only will you prevent them from completing their action, but you will also take their action and use it on another student of your choosing. Despair: Tailor - Because you're a cosplayer, you're really good at making disguises. On the nights you are activated, you may pick a student to disguise as another student. They will appear as that student upon death, and they will also appear as that student should they be investigated by Kaito. However, the reveal of their alignment will stay the same. ユメノ ヒミコ ● Himiko Yumeno | Ultimate Magician ![]() Hope: Enchantress - Maaaagic, maaaagic, maaaagic! Magic is your game, and even though everyone else doesn't believe it, you know your powers are 100% real and not a trick. You have several magical artifacts at your disposal, such as crystal balls. On the nights when you're activated, you can give a crystal ball to a student. That student can then pick someone else, whose alignment (but not role) will be revealed once they die. Despair: Silencer - Boy, all these people trying to tell you your powers aren't real sure are annoying! And you know just how to make them shut up, too! On the nights when you're activated, you can cast a spell on another student that will make them unable to talk for the following Daytime phase. トウジョウ キルミ ● Kirumi Tojo | Ultimate Maid ![]() Hope: Blacksmith - The title of "Maid" doesn't really do enough justice to describe what your full ability to serve others is, but regardless, it does mean that you're extremely skilled in things like cooking, cleaning, and mending. Specifically, when you're activated, you can mend one other student's clothes into a vest that will protect them from being killed during Nighttime. Despair: Janitor - Of course, you're still very good at cleaning things up, so on the nights when you're activated, you will clean up the scene of the crime, and the victim's identity won't be revealed the following day. How many times this role can be activated is dependent on the number of living students in the Despair Faction. ゴクハラ ゴンタ ● Gonta Gokuhara | Ultimate Entomologist ![]() Hope: Doctor - You have a lot of empathy! You care a lot about everything and anything in this world, even the tiniest little bugs. Because of this, you're very protective. On the nights when you're activated, you can select one student to protect from being killed. Despair: Stalker - You're very easily manipulated, and you do what you're told, especially if you fall into despair. You're also surprisingly good at sneaking around, because you need to be able to do that to observe insects. On the nights when you're activated, you can select one other student and learn their role. ヨナガ アンジ ● Angie Yonaga | Ultimate Artist ![]() Hope: Dreamer - With the power of the all-seeing Atua behind you, you're able to gain knowledge about everything going on in the Killing Game that nobody else has! When you are activated, Atua will whisper three names into your ear; one of them will be aligned with the Despair Faction. Despair: Ventriloquist - You're super manipulative, and you've realized that you can use Atua as a means to bend others toward your belief and turn them into a proxy for your purposes. On the nights when you're activated, you can pick another student. Then, on the following day, you can PM Monokuma within the first 24 hours of Daytime with one message for them to say in thread. If they do not say what you want them to before the end of Daytime, they will die. シングウジ コレキヨ ● Korekiyo Shinguji | Ultimate Anthropologist Hope: Journalist - You're kind of mysterious, and you say a lot of really weird and cryptic things, but you sure have a knack for history and books. When you're activated, you can pick one other student and gain access to all of the PMs they've received in the game so far. Despair: Voodoo Lady - You have access to a bunch of weird ancient artifacts from the past, and lo and behold, one of those artifacts allows you to curse people. When you're activated, you may choose another student and a certain word; if the student says that word during Daytime, they will die. ホシ リョマ ● Ryoma Hoshi | Ultimate Tennis Pro ![]() Hope: Hunter - You used to be one of the biggest names in tennis, but after a little stint with the law, all you know is hitting rock bottom. At this point, you really don't care whether you live or die, but if you still have a bit of hope left in you, you won't go down without a fight (or without one well-aimed tennis shot). When you're activated, you can pick one other student to take out with you when you die. (You do not have to die on the same phase as your activation for this effect to happen.) Despair: Toreador - Again, you have little care for yourself, and that only gets amplified when you're filled with despair. On the nights when you're activated, you can pick one other student, and all of their night actions will be redirected away from their initial targets and into you instead. チャバシラ テンコ ● Tenko Chabashira | Ultimate Aikido Master ![]() Hope: Bodyguard - You seem to have a thing against all the degenerate males around you, but when it comes to the people you're close to, you'll fight for them, no matter what. When you're activated, you can pick one other student to protect from being killed during Nighttime, but if you successfully protect someone, you will die in the process. Despair: Interceptor - Your insane skill at fighting with precision and swiftness can also be used for despair. On the nights when you're activated, you can watch another student and kill anyone else who visits them. ハルカワ マキ ● Maki Harukawa | Ultimate Child Caregiver ![]() Hope: Trapper - It doesn't really look it, but your talent revolves around looking after others and making sure people stay away from hurting the people you're caring for. When you're activated, you can pick one other student. You will kill whoever else visits that student. Despair: ??? - There's an air of mystery surrounding your identity, or more specifically, your talent. Not everything is as it seems... (If Maki is Despair-aligned, her ability will remain unknown to all players until she is activated.) アマミ ランタロウ ● Rantaro Amami | Ultimate ??? ![]() Hope: Agent - For some reason, you seem to have forgotten what exactly your talent is, but it would also appear that you know a little extra something about this game that the others don't. On the nights when you are activated, you will receive a report on all of the other roles that have been activated for that phase. Additionally, part of the so-called advantage you have apparently includes special treatment from whoever's manipulating the Flashback Lights - so instead of your memory being activated along with all the other students, you have a flat 50% chance of being activated in addition to the other activations (unless Keebo manually activates you). Despair: Agent - For some reason, you seem to have forgotten what exactly your talent is, but it would also appear that you know a little extra something about this game that the others don't. On the nights when you are activated, you will receive a report on all of the other roles that have been activated for that phase. (Rantaro has the same ability regardless of alignment.) Sign-up List: 1. 2. 3. Edited by SpectrumPanda, Mar 18 2018, 09:18 AM.
