Exactly What It Says on the Tin, guys. This is Scumhunt, a mafia gamer's paradise. And with that comes quite the quandary; how to properly show what you are feeling at a specific moment? This will be the quintessential list for these faces and icons; for everything ranging from complete disbelief to triumphant victory. Just feature the image in a spoiler with a classification as Reaction or Emoticon in the spoiler title, and place the link to the image beneath it! Perhaps even add an explanation underneath your spoilered image for some additional help! Being the topic creator; I'm just going to add my three personal favorites. --- --- --- PonyFace Emoticon This comes from Zephyr's presence in most mafia games. He tends to have a ball toying with other players, but is above using the troll-or coolface in place of something that calls back towards his obsession with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The Rainbow Dash 'Awesome Face' conveys jubilation over a feat, but not smugness. May or may not be for trolling; this IS usually used by Zephyr exclusively anyway. --- --- --- YagamiSuccess Reaction You see, sometimes the bad guys win. They successfully convince the village to kill each other. They craftily redirect attention on an unwitting pawn at the last moment. Their gambits proceed flawlessly. Either way, this reaction conveys that the user has had malevolent intentions throughout the game...and has succeeded in doing what they planned. --- --- --- YagamiFailure Reaction This reaction is conversely related to YagamiSuccess. It usually is used when the mafia, bad guys, or malevolent faction is just about to claim victory...only to have it pulled from their fingertips at the last second. Their marvelous plans and strategy goes south, either through logic or by some inescapable truth. They are caught, pure and simple, and it was not in their plans at all. |

Can we find a new set of emoticons then the default ones? I find them absolutely horrendous. EDIT: I know it's not all that constructive, but look at this: :) This makes me gag. Edited by Aop, Aug 5 2011, 09:56 PM.

I will consider it when I don't have way more important things than what emoticons get used on my plate, like finding a way to pay for my insurance and gas for the foreseeable future. I'm pretty sure you can tide yourself over until then. |

I'm sure as a community we could possibly find emoticons we like ourselves, and then wait until Zephyr finds the time to implement them. |

Hmm, darn. My emoticons are mostly extremely situational. However, this one is common enough to gain an image That one's easy enough to figure out. Edited by Shadow31, Aug 7 2011, 04:27 PM.

If I have time later, I might have a hunt for proper sets of standard use emoticons. And we can have a pick from there. For now, there's no point putting gigantic reactionpics as emotes. Emotes are supposed to be small reactionfaces, nothing more. EDIT: Hell, while we're at it, why don't we turn this thread into general Scumhunt graphics, ie - favicon, banner, etc. Edited by LordQ, Aug 7 2011, 09:18 PM.

To clarify Q; this topic was a weird conglomeration of emoticons or Reaction Images indexed in a way that could be easily accessible instead of hunting all around the internet for. I certainly wouldn't want any Reaction Images in Emoticon slots; the added Reaction Images is more so that someone can pick and copy an image link to place wherever they see fit. Hence the explanations of where the reaction images would be most effective. :U |

That could be used as a way to break up impossibly long wall-o-texts that usually come from people overanalyzing certain events. Most likely I can see a defending person in a lynch using that image the best, especially when the proponent of the lynch uses a super-long explanation why the other person should be lynched in place. Could also be used in meandering trails of logic where everyone seems to be voting stupidly; like votes spread to more than two people for consideration. Those kind of votes are clusterf*s that tend to go nowhere very fast. |
