All right, so. Chat discussion time. Throughout our chat history we've had a lot of shipping done between members of the chat. I would like to banning shipping involving members of the chat being discussed in the chat. Here's why. Most people if they are the subject of these ships get really uncomfortable about it. I remember being shipped with Danny being like one of the most awkward things ever, and lately it's been PSN and Snake and they've BOTH seemed very uncomfortable about it. I don't think we should keep joking about shipping them if it's something they're uncomfortable with, and since discomfort has been an almost universal response to such shipping, I think it should be banned. Also, for some reason everyone seems to have this idea that I'm going to kick people if it happens. No. It'd just be yo that's not okay don't do that. I have no idea where this misconception came from, but just so we're clear. Discuss. |

if you say being banned, how would that go down? as in: someone makes a slight shipping remark: banned? cause personally i think jokes should be allowed to be made, but of ship subject says they ar uncomfy with it, i think the best course of action would be make them apologies and stop, and if they refuse that THEN they should be banned, and not sooner |

I actually agree with Jessi on this. It started out as a joke and joke ships and all that. But it genuinely makes me uncomfortable if I'm shipped with somebody. I know I say PSNxSnake from time to time but if they're genuinely uncomfortable with it then I'd be a huge jerk to carry on doing it. So banning shipping would stop them feeling uncomfortable in the first place. Which is much better in my opinion. Also Hyp, Jessi answered that. Not that I'm on the chat (or Skype in general) much, thanks to my POS internet, but I think that if the people being shipped are uncomfortable, then definitely don't do it. Of course, if anyone would like to be shipped with me, I'm cool with practically anything. Just shoot me a PM if anything juicy happens. |

I don't think shipping should be banned. Like, that's not fair to the people who are cool with it. If you're not cool with it say so, and then people shouldn't ship you 'cause that's not nice of them to do something you're not cool with. Just because some people aren't okay with it I don't think it should be banned in general. Snake (for example) could be uncomfortable being shipped with PSN but that doesn't mean he'd be uncomfortable if Tookie got shipped with PSN. So yeah. You get what I'm saying. |

Wouldn't it be simpler to have a general rule to stop doing things that people aren't comfortable with when they ask others to stop? It would cover so much more ground.
