Well, to be fair, the Super Funsmith can be used to cheese a PR visit for a CC in the event of trackers/watchers, or to mess with any other Gunsmith that might be used. |

The mods have called for a redesign of the SG role, and I will answer. * The Sticky Grenade role can, once a game, only during the night phase (no longer forced to act at the absolute beginning of the game), attach itself to a player. This counts as a visit. If the attachee is killed in ANY other way other than lynching, then the SG is defused and basically just becomes a goon for the rest of the game (or, alternatively, the SG dies with the attachee, either or really. It's up to you.). BUT if the attachee is successfully lynched, then the SG chooses another player to kill (it can be ANY player this time). At that point, all three players (the SG, the attachee, and the additional kill) will die. The Sticky Grenade can still be killed or lynched himself prematurely (i.e. attaching him or herself to a player does not give protection). Hopefully this retooling should fix the communication blockage problems, as well as giving mafia slightly more control over what targets they kill if successful. This role was meant to be a high-risk, high-reward type of deal, so I hope this works. I also included a couple of alternate tweaks to the role itself. |

Last group. Third Party comments. We don't have as many roles as we thought, so role suggestions are open again. Role edits are PREFERABLE, but suggestions are open again if anyone thinks of things. We're still going to be on a tight schedule with these, though, so get back to us as soon as you can. |

Sadist (Mafia) - Every night, the sadist may visit a target and wound them. If he wounds the same person two nights in a row, that person will be unable to use their night action until healed. Being visited by a protection role will heal all wounds the target has. Debating on whether it's better balance for the doctor to automatically heal himself, or be unable to heal himself. |

Hmmmmm, well, the RPG hero currently takes 5 night phases to use the end game ability. Welcome to Scumville ended day 3. So I think activating end game ability on day 4 would be a nice balancer, if you survive that long you deserve it. Simple enough change, drop everything down one level. Since Level 1 is actually a joke level it can be taken off completely. RPG hero - You start at level 0, as you survive night phases you level up and become stronger, learning new abilities and unlocking your true potential. Level 1 - Passive +1 to your vote. Level 2 - Moral choice path unlocked, choose mafia, village, or remain third party. Level 3 - Max level. You have unlocked your end game ability. White Light, Darkness Reigns, or Shenanigans Inbound. It will take one entire day/night cycle to cast, you can not post during this time. White Light will protect all village sided players from death for one night/day cycle. Darkness Reigns will protect all mafia sided players from death for one night/day cycle. Shenanigans Inbound will cause all players left alive to become third party roles and gain their win conditions. RPG Hero gains the win condition of village or mafia if RPG Hero chooses to join them, otherwise RPG Hero wins upon being the last third party standing. And there you go. |

Can we get some clarification on the third party ability? What would a cop become, what's the new win condition for him, stuff like that. I'm also wondering if he may be a touch too powerful given that he'd happen in the end game. |

Every single player left alive in the game will be RNG'd a third party role. Whether that's any role, only tournament roles, or only the roles in that game is up to the host. They'd all gain the win condition of that specific third party. |

Dunno, throwing everybody left alive a third party role isn't a bad thing. Probably not, maybe just keeping the choices as Village/Mafia would be better for the tournament. I'll run a game with third party added in the future sometime. |

Chocolate cock was only really suggested as a joke anyway :U Okay I bet that there's a massive problem with these roles but you said you needed more so here :U Sub-par Cameraman (Village): Every night you can follow and film another player. You will see if they have any interaction with another player (see example). You, however, do not receive the results of this investigation, they instead go to the reporter. You begin the game aware of the reporter's identity, however on their death you lose your ability to investigate. Reporter (Village) You begin the game aware of the identity of the Sub-par Cameraman. You will receive the results of the Sub-par cameraman's following. You begin the game aware of the identity of the Sub-par cameraman. Should the sub-par cameraman die, you will no longer receive investigation results An example of how these roles work follows: for example, the cameraman chooses to follow Adam. That night, Adam visits Jane, and is visited by Tim. The reporter then gets a report stating that Adam interacted with both Jane and Tim, but not identifying if he visited them, or if they visited him. Edited by Daymafter, Jun 8 2013, 10:55 AM.

Anyone want to help us with a village sided killing role? Oh, Dayafter. In response to your Cameraman/Reporter duo - it has the same metaissues as Tony/Maria but never mind that for now. The main issue is that they're weak as a duo and useless separate. I might like to see some kind of investigating duo that's good as a duo and weak separate instead. That's really the main issue with them. I like the idea of an investigating duo. Blood, already mentioned these to you, but for the record Sadist is cool with a couple of fixes. First fix being it uses it every other night instead of twice in a row, second being not really a fix I guess but the doc would autoheal after a night or two of delay. Ilvo you're the main other one that submitted a fix if I recall - Sticky Grenade seems good to go now. There's a potential thing down the line but it's a minor question of who the grenade can attach to initially and we're not even really sure it's an issue, so it's just whatever for now. The point is you're good to go. Edited by Aviana, Jun 13 2013, 09:48 PM.

Targetman - At night you begin to lock-on to your target, this causes you to see any players who visit your target. You may then fire during the day phase, this has a 25% chance of revealing you. (Village)

So right now it looks like we have a good number of weak investigating roles, and a couple of weak protection roles. One or the other could be fine, but not both, so any submissions of stronger options for either side would be appreciated. |

Pterodactyl - SKREEEEEEEEEE, SKREEEEEEEE SKREE SKRAW. You circle over the head of a player each night, if somebody tries to visit them you'll plunge down onto them and lift them into the air for the next day phase. This stops the first visit completely and silences the player lifted. (Village)

So. Not much has been happening recently; pretty much all of the Madmin team has been busy with life and other things, and we don't have time to actually make the setups themselves. Aviana has been really helpful and edited the OP, crossing out roles that won't work in our context. What we'd like to ask is for members to make the setups, and then we'll be able to take those and use them to get the tourney going. Remember, we need about 4 different setups, so don't be afraid to make several! |

There are currently 22 sign ups, which means we will be running 11 player games. I think the setups have to be 8/2/1 or 7/3/1 to go with that. I'll try to work on these as much as possible but to be honest doing it solo is completely overwhelming, so any help you guys can give is greatly appreciated. |

Apologies, I only just saw the post asking for setups ;m; I'll try designing a couple, but please don't expect anything great A question though. Are we including generic villagers or is every role a PR? I wasn't sure, so I included two optional other PRs which could be added if that is the situation. Setup 1 Setup 2 Setup 3 |

My thoughts on the first setup: Initially, it really looks like Mafia are too strong for Village here, as they get a bunch of awesome power roles, whereas Village are really missing a proper Doc. But since there are only 2 Villagers, it's much harder for the Mafia members to to hide if someone starts taking claims. In addition, odds are that the Divine Being will end up needing to save a member of the Village, since they have greater numbers. In the end, I'm happy with how it is, though ideally I'd love to run a few hypothetical games on it first as the power roles, new as they are, might interact in interesting ways. My thoughts on the second setup: I would hesitate to use this setup for a tournament type dealio, since both members of the mafia can and will randomly die. It might be interesting though if they had a vanilla Mafia member to keep the Mafia going if the Parasite and Sticky Grenade die. I would consider changing one of the village power roles (Archangel perhaps?) into a vanilla Mafia. Edited by LordQ, Jul 2 2013, 09:32 PM.
