The Higashiyama's blood line had always been noble. Akane's great great great great grandfather having been one of the greatest sword fighters in most of the lands. Meeting up with a young maiden from a shrine temple. Leaving his life of travel, the young male settled down, building a lovely home and dojo for his kin. The two having started a lovely family together. Each of their kids would learn the way's of the sword. Having the eldest of the group become the next inline for their dojo. Being as the home was out in the woods, hidden from most towns, The family each built their own home close to the first building, making a smaller town filled with just family. Each child going out, after their training, to find a mate. Whom they'd bring home and marry, repeating the task their parents had done.
The once small group of homes soon grew, becoming much like a private estate filled with nothing but kin. Which, for the most part was left out of the war. Only did the few who left to find mates found out about it. Taking the news back to their family along with a soon to be wife or husband. It had taken most of the war till the dojo and family grounds had been found. By then Akane had been born, having turned to the age of 12. She'd been born weaker then most of her family. Her body unable to keep up with the training her father had tried to put her through. Being the eldest, as well as the only born. Her mother was unable to give birth after her. Akane felt bad for having not been able to fulfill her duty to her father, as well as having caused her mother to suffer while giving birth.
It was said that when Akane was in the womb, her mother had fallen, hurting herself beyond repair. Akane had thought to be dead, even still, she'd made it. Her body having fought for live. Once born she'd been still for the longest time, only to finally cry just before they'd given up hope, Her body was smaller them most children, leaving her parents with worry. It wasn't till she was 6; that her family finally stopped hovering over her. It was said that she never cried at night, nor did she through fits while she'd grown old enough to crawl or walk. Still weak though, her father held of on her training.
On Akane's 9th birth day, her father finally began to train her, having the other children her age well ahead. Akane felt weak, like she'd been a burden, so she pushed herself while training, causing strain on her weakened body. She often found herself faint at random moments of the day, leaving herself to collapse during training or even just on a simple walk. Her family felt that she'd be the only one to never fully reach the level of fighting the noble family had been known for. It was worse that her father had been the first born of all the first born, leaving her the next leader of the family's line.
Most of the males in the group thought this wrong. So far only a man had ran the group, and they'd felt Akane wasn't fit for the task. She of course had been using her spare time, when no one was watching, to practice. Even with her weak body; the young female challenged the younger male's her age, most of them backed down, unwilling to fight a weakened girl due to an accident before birth. Most fathers scolding the boy's for acting out as such. They'd all felt that Akane was perfect for the task, she was sweet, the fathers also felt that she'd give the males something to fight for. But only one male wouldn't listen. Taking Akane up for her challenge, his father unhappy with this.
Later that day, during the fight. Akane amazed everyone, winning the fight against the male, who not only was stronger then her, but the strongest in the group; even the male was amazed as he stared up at her, not sure how to react. Her victory wasn't much of a joy to her, only because after the fight, she found her body giving up, she'd dropped to her knee's. Feeling faint. Akane's father rushed to her, whispering into her ear how proud he was as she fell into a deep sleep. Everyone in the clan felt like she'd used to much, the boy who'd fought her really got a scolding from his father, as well as had to make sure Akane was well taken care of.
Later that night, while Akane lied in her bed asleep, The bandits invaded. Stealing and killing everyone in her home. When they'd finally got to Akane, her mother begged them to take what they will, but leave the Akane alone, telling them that she was to weak to fight, nor do any thing to harm them. Akane was only 12 at the time, when she'd open her eyes and stared at the male responsible for her family's death. Her crimson eyes showing her weak body's state. She'd never forget that day..nor what happened next.
The leader of the bandits walked in, pulling her out from her bed. Her long back hair fluttered around as he held onto her wrist, holding her against his side. She could hear his mocking as he rubbed his hands over her frail body. His underlings moving into the room and laughing as well. The guy grabbed onto her chin, forcing to watch while his men took hold of the only person she'd had left. Forcing her down, she stared at her mother's scared eyes.
Not sure how to react as well as to weak from using her energy to fight earlier. Akane was helpless to stop the male holding onto her. He tore away her kimono she'd worn, exposing her nude body to the room filled with men, as well as her mother who struggled to free herself, Screaming for them to let Akane go. Frightened Akane tried to pull away from the male that rubbed his hands along her skin, laughing as he pressed her against his own body, fighting her down to the floor. She was forced down in a way that allowed her to still see her mother.
Now on her back, her head turned to the side as she tried to shove the male away. Akane looked at her mother, feeling the male force himself onto her. Akane would never forget the day she'd been raped by bandits. Rapped and cut, leaving scars along her stomach and upper arms. Her mother forced to watch before they killed her before her own eyes. Leaving her unable to do anything but whimper as she was slowly rapped, each bandit taking their own turn after the leader, going in order of power.
After they'd finished, the Bandit's leader lowered himself, whispering into her hear a sweet good bye, leaving her cut up body limp and no longer usable. Tears spilling from her eyes as she looked at her mothers dead body. Akane's body shaking as she curled up. Just before the Bandit left, he was handed something long, the end of it red. Rolling her onto her stomach, the male sat onto her legs, one of his men holding on to Akane's arms while he pressed the large burning metal of some sort to her back, branding her paled skin with the kanji symbol of
death. She was no longer able to scream, having used up all she could pull from her voice while they'd murdered her mother. Once the leader knew the brand was their, he slowly rose up, telling Akane his far wells, as well as a hope to meet her again if she should live. Moving to his next victims.
Akane had lied their for the longest time, having no will to move on. Trouble by the sight of watching her mothers death. After some time though, she was finally able to pull herself up to her feet. Fighting her body to walk through her clan's private village, seeing all the dead body's, her heat sank as she grasped the amount of sorrow and pain that was fully done to her, barely able to keep her ripped kimono up enough to cover her chest, her back bleeding slowly, the pain of it having been numbed away, she mostly felt the cut's he'd inflicted,
That day, with her weak body about to give. Akane made a silent promise to kill ever last bandit that had ruined her. Promising herself and her dead kin that they'd all pay, Leaving her home to find help. A near by maiden finding her, taking her in and helping her heal. Once Akane was back to her normal weak body, and not what the men had left her like, Akane set off to fulfill her promise.
