Roleplayer: Tsuki, or Luna. I'm a girl, despite my male character Literacy: Literate to Advanced Literate, depending on what I'm given, and what my inspiration levels are. Generally, I will return whatever I'm given; you give me ten paragraphs, I'll give ten in response, you give me three, I'll give you three. I prefer length, though, and detail, and will typically try to write more. Name: Sakamoto Kiri/Chi Alias: Kiri-san, or whatever anyone wants to call him / Chiryuu (Chi's favorite nickname, given to him by a village he passed through). He is also known as "The Possessed Swordsman" by some. Age: 21 Gender: Male Alignment: Neutral Good/Chaotic Evil Kin: Dead Status: Single Sexuality: Bisexual Loyalty: N/A Occupation: Freelance mercenary Height: 6'2 Weight: 165lbs Likes: Kiri enjoys practicing his fighting style and meditating, as well as taking part in pleasant conversation, and talking with interesting characters. He enjoys sweets, and his favorite food is sweet rice. He enjoys the outdoors and serenity, but he won't turn down a sparring match to test his own skills. Chi, on the other hand, enjoys mindless slaughtering, violence, vicious banter, and taking advantage of others. His favorite food is meat, and his favorite drink is blood. Nothing is more beautiful then watching crimson liquid drain from the slashed body of a victim.... Dislikes: Kiri dislikes mindless violence and sharp, annoying noises. He doesn't particularly like getting drunk, either, unless it's with a friend, or in a fairly safe environment. He doesn't like brutes, or ignoramuses, nor does he enjoy drunks or obnoxious people. Chi dislikes quiet, calmness, or happiness in other people, unless he's developed some sort of liking for that person. He doesn't have a particular liking for dogs, and would rather run them through with his sword then pet them. He's also not particularly keen towards spicy foods. Personality: This depends on who you come across- Kiri, or Chi. They appear to be the same person, but they're two completely separate personalities. Kiri is the dominant one, who everyone is most likely to come across, but Chi does make his appearances when coaxed out. Over the years, Kiri has become aware of his split persona, and he does his best to never let him gain control these days. That is one of the reasons why he's picked up meditation, but he also needs it to stay focused on his priorities. He's friendly and sociable, and typically rather intelligent. However, he can also be shy and quiet at times, though usually only when there's a crowd of people, and he feels out of place. He's dedicated to improving himself and dual sword fighting style, always working to harmonize his movements and increase precision and accuracy. Also one to help others, he's typically known as a rather nice traveler that drifts from town to town, and mostly lives by the rivers, or in the wilderness. However, some villages fear him. That's Chi's fault. His opposite personality has reared up a few times, and when he has, he doesn't like to let Kiri resurface until he's satiated his bloodlust. He'll kill, maim, rob, torture, harass, and take advantage of anyone he can get his hands on. The sound of others screaming is music to his ears, and he'll do whatever it takes to rouse up a chorus of the melodious sound. Setting fires, slaughtering families, breaking bones, and doing whatever it takes to cause chaos makes him smile wider then a crocodile. Luckily, though, his appearances are few and far between, but it's still been enough to spread some rumors, and earn Kiri a reputation of being possessed by a demon in some villages. Habits: Kiri has the habit of moving his hands in a restless manner; from his sides, behind him, in front of him, across his chest, together, apart, and then together again..... if he's nervous, he can't seem to keep them still, but it only arises during times of anxiety, or conflict. Chi doesn't have any habits, aside from slaughtering innocent people. Inventory: Water, bits of food, materials to sharpen and maintain his swords, money, rope, and some small trinkets, if he can fit them within his clothes. Weaponry: Two katana, and a small set of throwing needles Ability: Kiri has practiced using swords since he was young, very young. About five. He started with one, but quickly jumped to two, loving the potential of using two weapons at the same time. It was also rather enjoyable for him to harmonize and synchronize the movements of both hands, figuring out how to smoothly move the katana so they wouldn't clash with one another. His style is rather fluid and meticulous, and shows the carefulness and thought that goes into each move, even though he can react within seconds. Chi has the same level of skill, but his style is rather different. Instead of purposeful movements, his swings are chaotic and wild, and he seems to always be moving the swords, even if he's not attacking. Where Kiri might stand still and wait for an attack, he'll be swinging the katana back and forth, before suddenly lunging foreword. He's unpredictable and deadly, and because of the constant movement, has a surprisingly high ability to defend himself, nearly always covering all the essential areas with one or both of the weapons. Appearance: Appearance: Biography: Kiri had an irregular childhood. His father was not the honorable man he appeared to be to their neighbors. He would drink, and grow violent, and often his son became the object of his aggression. The abuse started when Kiri was about five, and progressively got worse. As this happened, the community of Toyoda began to catch on, but no one did anything. The boy would go to school, pay visits to the shrines, joined nearest dojo, and socialized with his classmates, but he always seemed to have unexplained marks and bruises. A stereotypical background of abuse became somewhat different when Chi emerged. To help himself cope with the trauma, Kiri managed to block out the memories, but in order to do that, someone had to take them. That responsibility fell to Chi, who seemed to emerge whenever the sound of his father's drunken footsteps were heard making their way to his room. He took the abuse, but when he turned fifteen, he finally fought back. That was also the day he'd borrowed a set of his sensei's katana to practice, and had sneaked them into his room. Then, that night, when his father came stumbling in, Chi grabbed the two swords and swung around, whipping his arms in a circular motion to slice both weapons cleanly through his father's torso, cutting deep, parallel gashes. The attack didn't stop there, though. Even when his father dropped to his knees, eyes wide, sputtering blood, he began swinging, hacking away to cut the man to bits, stabbing and slicing until blood covered the floor and splattered the walls. Some even reached the ceiling, painting a starry sky of blood across the surface. When he had thoroughly dismembered his father, he moved out of his room and down the hall to his parents' room, and started in on his mother. The screams attracted the attention of one of their neighbors, and as soon as he stepped in the door, the sharp, stained blade of one of Chi's blades made it's way through his neck, killing him before his eyes could even adjust to the darkness of the house. After that, he fled, running off to the nearest forest area, and eventually passed out. When he awoke, Kiri went into a panic at the discovery that his clothes were soaked in blood, and the sticky substance painted his face and clung to his hair. Unaware and terrified, he ran back to his village, leaving his katana abandoned by a tree, and searched for help. He was met with hate, and some villagers immediately vouched for killing the 'possessed boy', but one of the elders wanted to try and help. The 'help' didn't go well, and it grew painful as the methods grew more desperate, switching from meditation, towards medicines, eventually landing in rituals. No matter what, bursts of aggression would convince others that he was still possessed, and as the attempts gradually edged towards more forceful methods, he finally fled, returning to where he'd awoken. The blades were still there, and he snatched them up, washing them off and quickly fleeing East. From then on, he's traveled and worked to protect himself, hoping that his demonic persona will stay dormant. Sometimes, though, the sound of footsteps stumbling towards him, or certain words, scenes, or smells, will still trigger unexplained acts of aggression, and sometimes even arouse Chi to arise. |

UPDATES [*] New Development in Personalities: [*] Chiryuu Personality: With the original Chi's bipolar personality, switching from childish sadism, to manipulative cruelty, there was bound to be another split. Conflicting situations led Chiryuu to form, becoming a manifestation of the latter. He's a nasty person with an air of arrogance always lingering about him, and a liking towards mental torture. He prefers to mess with his victims and turn them against their family, or to manipulate others into doing what he wants. Being the sort of person to drag a family out to the woods to force them to watch one another suffer and die at his hands, he lacks any sort of sympathy for others, and simply enjoys taking his own pleasure in other people's pain. Though he doesn't necessarily strive to spread chaos, it does interest him. His greatest flaw, aside from the sadistic killer part, is that he will almost never take orders from another person. [*] Chiko Personality: The original Chi's other side. The split occurred from stress, as is the cause of all alternate personalities, but Chi's kid-like side didn't get lost in the shift. Chiko is just as deranged as his alter side, or, as he calls Chiryuu, Ani, but in a different way. If anything, his childishness may make him even more dangerous, because the up and coming bloodshed is so unexpected. However, he differs with Chiryuu because he doesn't only get off on blood, and can actually be rather sociable. The only problem is his unpredictable actions, though there's usually some sign of when he might become violent. Boredom and curiosity are the two most dangerous things for him, because he'll usually start 'experimenting' to figure things out, just like a young child would in order to learn. With such an immature personality, it's easy to forget out dangerous he is, and that he's still a full grown swordsman. [*] Renai Personality: Spawning from Kiri's loneliness, this more flirtatious personality dubbed himself Renai, but has yet to make any appearances, which means Kiri's still completely unaware of his existence. However, that doesn't mean he's a weak link amongst the personalities.... he's just been lazing about in his host's subconscious. He lacks any memories of Kiri's childhood, and will appear to have a case of general amnesia regarding his past. He'll even admit that his name was his own creation, and he has no idea who he really is. This is because he developed later then the other personalities (but before the split between Chiryuu and Chiko). It also allows him to be a rather carefree, flirtatious person, who's likely to put on a charming smile and try to talk his way into anyone's heart. He's playful and lighthearted, and unlike Kiri, doesn't mind a few drinks. That being said, he's rather harmless drunk, and is more likely to be affectionate then dangerous, as is the case with Kiri's other sides. In fact, he's very unlikely to get in a fight, and if confronted with conflict, he's more likely to run, back down, or try and talk his way out of it. He will defend others, though, especially the ladies. [*] |
