(No, it's all okay. ~ JJ)
Sumayya drew a card to begin her turn, and she barely took a moment to observe it. "I place two cards face-down!" Sumayya said as two cards appeared on the field, behind the Magician of Black Chaos. However, she took another moment with her next move. "And I place one monster face-down in Defense mode." A face-down card, turned sideways, appeared next to the Magician. "I end my turn."

No offense? "Hmm..." Chayne drew his card, to begin his turn, and contemplated for a second. "I activate the Field Spell, Sactuary in the Sky." ![]() A light from above the two duelist shown brightly and briefly before the playing field change, and all around them were clouds, stones, pillars, and behind Chayne a massive citadel. "I'll continue my offense, and have Neo-Parshath, attack your face-down monster." Chayne could only wonder what the face-down monster could be, let alone, the two face-downs sitting behind it. He would surely find out soon. |

Neo-Parshath moved in to attack. He charged at the face-down card, and with one stab, pinned it to the ground as the card splintered into pieces of light that quickly faded away. PIERCING DAMAGE TO SUMAYYA'S LP: 1,300 > 400 BOOST TO NEO-PARSHATH'S ATK/DEF DUE TO THE TRIGGER BEING MET: 2,300/2,000 > 2,500/2,200 And with that, Neo-Parshath started to hover back to Chayne's side of the field. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=S3UaHafB-yc#t=35 But not before Chayne started to hear an inexplicable droning. A black blur swooped down from the air above, and latched itself to Neo-Parshath's back. Sumayya's face-down monster was still alive! Neo-Parshath tried to get a look at its assailant, but to no avail, and tried to shake it off, with the same results. In his struggles, Neo-Parshath turned around, and Chayne got a look at whatever was latched on to its back. That same droning was still heard from it, with a red light for an eye. The droning turned into a cold, mechanical beeping that seemed to be counting down. A Blast Sphere! For a moment, Sumayya looked satisfied with how that played out. She must have gave more thought to that last turn then Chayne thought. Then she poised herself for the kill. "My Blast Sphere has just latched itself to your Neo-Parshath," Sumayya started to explain. "By your next turn, your Neo-Parshath will be blown away, and you will lose your remaining Life Points. "Do you have anything to counter with, Chayne?"

"Interesting... but..." Chayne paused, raising his hand to reveal his face-down card.![]() "I'll activate the Quick Spell card, Enemy Controller, during my Battle Phase, after you Blast Sphere's effect to be equipped to my Neo-Parshath has resolved, and use my Neo-Parshath as a sacrifice, to activate this card's second ability: To take control of your Magician of Black Chaos." "If you have no counter, then surely you know that I will attack you, with your own monster, without hesitation." |

"I do not," Sumayya said in respond to Chayne's question. "Continue." Neo-Parshath and the latched-on Blast Sphere merged together in a flash of light to reveal the Enemy Controller. By itself, the buttons on the Enemy Controller were pressed in a clearly specific pattern: ^ ^ V V < > < > B A Against its will, the Magician of Black Chaos was dragged across the field to Chayne's side, now under his control. And just like he threatened to, Chayne sent the Magician to attack its former master. "However," Sumayya finally said, "for this, I do have a counter." One of Sumayya's face-down cards drew up to reveal possibly the worst trap Chayne could have triggered with his Life Points so dangerously low. |

Chayne bowed his head, at the revelation of Magic Cylinder. Out of the dim guise of his bowed head, only Sumayya would be able to catch the brief smirk that jolted across his face. Chayne looked up, in time to see the Magician of Black Chaos's attack, being redirected and coming at him, with all of its power. The blast actually had a feeling of intense heat, warped around a dark energy. Kneeling down in pain, from the attack his life points dropped to 0 and Chayne was defeated, not without more bursts of random visions attacking his mind. Almost falling completely over in pain, he braced himself with his hands against the ground, and tried to regain his breath. It was almost like having vertigo, but worse, and sweating began to breakout along his face. What is wrong with that monster? Duel Monsters are holograms and none of their attacks are capable of actually hurting any player to this degree, but this one's different. I must know why. Slowly recovering his breathing, and taking a slow but solid stand, back to his feet. Chayne eyed Sumayya, the victor of the duel. Edited by Sovereign, 02/04/2014 - 05:48 am.

After the duel was finished, Kuro thought it was a great opportunity to make a little noise. *Kuro starts to slow clap* "Heh heh heh, Bravo! Bravo! It seems that your little charade didn't end up how you expected it to, hmm? Remember our little conversation? If you lost this duel I would never accept you as a great duelist ever again!" Kuro gets out of his seat, heads out of the stadium, and pushes the double doors wide open like he owns the place. Kuro's monologue to himself - Chayne? What happened? That duel that was done just now, I know you are better than that? That was not the Chayne that I used to know, instead, it was replaced by a pitiful excuse of a duel. Did the hours upon hours practicing with your deck mean nothing? Were you just nervous? Was it because of me? Hmmph, I'll make sure that the power of your deck doesn't go to waste, even if I have to drag it out of you myself! There's more to you then that, and you didn't even play your most powerful cards. You'd better be ready Chayne or I will crush you when it is time for our duel. - Exit Kuro |

Jason was highly upset by Chaynes loss, but hey everyone has to lose sometimes. It could have been a red who beat him. He felt bad because he knew everything that Chayne would be put through. His head began to swirl from everything that happened in the day. "Well it's only my first day, and I have already been through this much.", he thought to himself. Jason stood up and just outright left before anything could be said. He needed to just be by himself so he could think about all of the events that had occured. -Exit Jason- |

Shon held a disgruntled look on his face, after seeing Chayne take the final blow from the Magician of Black Chaos. He couldn't help but wonder why Chayne looked so taxed after each time he was hit by that monster's attack, as if it actually hurt him. It disappointed him a little bit, but then he realized that with this newer duelist defeating a seasoned one, that the tide was turning and the chance to rise among the grandeur of skilled players in the academy was opportunity to take advantage of. This was now Shon's chance, and he would take advantage of it. |

NARRATOR "Aaaaaaand the winner of the duel is Sumayya Badr, with barely 400 Life Points left!" The intercom said, followed by a mixed reaction from the crowd. Some were disappointed at Chayne losing while others were happy to see the new student win. The stadium lit back up to normal light levels, as the crowd started to leave in ones and twos, heading to the cafeteria for an early dinner. The duel details disappeared from the scoreboard, and the scoreboard was now showing the Duel Academy logo screensaver from earlier. For a moment, Sumayya stared back at Chayne, almost as though she was trying to gauge something in Chayne's eyes. Then she looked away and proceeded to put her cards back into her deck and retract her Duel Disk. Headmaster Wakahisa walked back onto the arena, and approached Sumayya with a hand held out. "That was a good show," Wakahisa said, chuckling in delight. "You really showed that you earned your Blue jacket." Sumayya took Wakahisa's handshake. "Thank you, sir." Wakahisa pointed to Sumayya's deck. "I heard there was only one copy ever made of a Normal Monster card of Magician of Black Chaos. Is that really it? The latest Duel Disks don't register replica cards on their scanners." Sumayya nodded, with the slight hint of a smile on her face. "Yes, sir. You know about it?" "I heard about it a long time ago from a friend of mine. He said it was the only thing rarer then the Blue-Eyes White Dragon cards themselves, and yet not very many people knew about its existence. How did you ever get your hands on it?" Sumayya hesitated. "I would rather keep it to myself, sir. It's personal." Wakahisa nodded. "I can understand that. Be careful, though, word's bound to get out now that you have that card." "I'll be careful, sir." Wakahisa nodded again to acknowledge her, and started to turn away, but turned back to Sumayya with another smile. "And stop calling me 'sir'." Sumayya took a moment to reply back. "Yes, Headmaster," Sumayya said, another hint of a smile returning to her expression. Wakahisa laughed as he turned back to Chayne and walked towards him. Crowler beat him to Chayne because he wasn't walking, he was running. "Chayne," Crowler said, "What exactly was that deck you were using?" JAYDEN Jayden was disappointed that Sumayya had exactly the right card to pull victory out of the battle, but overall, it was a great duel to watch, and he was glad that Sumayya vouched in the first place to make it happen. It was like every move Chayne and Sumayya made kept shifting the duel in their favor, and it was tense to watch. Chayne must have been really frustrated to lose that one. He even dropped to his knees over it. Completing ignoring Kuro's outburst, Jayden turned to Saranto. "Let's head over to the cafeteria. Dinner's a-callin'." Jayden then remembered that he needed to get Beast King Barbaros back from Chayne. "Hold on, let me go see if I can grab Chayne," Jayden said as he headed down to the arena. He hesitated a moment when he saw Crowler jump out of nowhere to confront Chayne, but he decided that Crowler should bite it, and stood by Chayne, waiting for him to deal with Crowler. |

Chayne wiping his face from the sweat, gave a soft reply to Mr. Crowler's outrage. "It was my... Agent deck. It's a little something I've been working on, because I'm tired of my Machine deck. I'll formally apologize to Sumayya if she was looking forward to it, but I want bring in a new style of play, and challenge myself." Chayne coughed, trying to catch his breath, and then he noticed Jayden nearby. Jay's Beast King! I never got to use it, unfortunately but it still helped me take part in the duel. "Here Jayden. Sorry, if you wanted to see'em in action." Chayne plucked the Beast King Barbaros card from his deck and handed it back to Jayden, slipping his own deck back into its case on his hip, as his duel disk retracted into a standby mode. "Mr. Crowler... I really need to go lay down. I'm not... feeling so well." It felt like vertigo, but Chayne knew better. It was that Magician of Black Chaos still wreaking havoc, somehow. |

NARRATOR "But you could have--" Crowler's rant was interpreted mid-sentence by a phone ringing from his pocket. Crowler quickly pulled the smartphone out and turned around as he answered the call. "What is it?!" Crowler said, his rage now being taken out on the caller. Chances are, the caller abruptly dropped his phone the moment Crowler yelled at him. "What?" Crowler said in surprise to whatever the caller was saying. "Meet me in my office! Now!" Crowler ended the call at that and started to walk away, while pointing a finger at Chayne and Jayden, oh dear. "You too! Meet me in my office after dinner! This is an emergency! Just do what I say!" Crowler then sprinted in the direction of his office. Poor Wakahisa just exhaled and shook his head at the professor. Finally, he walked up to Chayne. "Are you okay?" Wakahisa asked Chayne, noticing Chayne's fatigue. NOTE: We're moving on to Episode 2 in the next update, in which we'll be going to the cafeteria for dinner. If you want any last-minute posts for Episode 1, do so right now. Also! I'm introducing a new mechanic for YGORP. You know how you can level up, right? Well, you need about 100 XP to do so, and you can either earn XP by defeating monsters or accomplishing certain feats, but you can also earn XP just for good roleplaying and being active in YGORP. This is something to take advantage of because when you level up, you're given a number of points to distribute among your monster's ATK, DEF and Ba. Want to get stronger? Be more active. |

"I'll go ahead, see you at dinner!" Saranto called out to Jayden. He was so excited after that duel he could hardly contain himself. Who would have expected such a dramatic match? He was ready to get dueling as soon as possible! -Exit Saranto- |

"No..." Chayne said, to the Headmaster. He just wanted to go to bed. What felt like a migraine was beyond painful. "I guess I'll try to make it Crowler's office, and see what he wants. I'm not even hungry. The quicker whatever he wants is over, the quicker I can go to sleep." Chayne looked to Jayden for a second, pausing. "Would you... mind sticking around, just in case anything's to wrong? I just don't feel well, but like I said, I'm gonna see what Crowler wants. If you're going to eat, I'll wait inside the cafeteria, with you." |

After leaving the stadium, Jason decides to go to the cafeteria since he had worked up quite the appetite watching the duel. He still had no friends at the academy, which kind of sucked, so he had no clue who he would be sitting by. He continued his walk towards the cafeteria. He kind of just let his mind take over as he continued to think about all of the things that had occurred today. He continued his walk awaiting what might happen next because from the looks of it this was going to be an eventful year.
