![]() Introduction The Squad Supremacy makes a return to the Shadow Stars! The Squad Supremacy is a yearly event that pits several Squads against each other in Squad wars over several weeks of grueling gaming warfare, which replaces the tournament season. Good organization, luck, and gaming skills will be the factors that will lead your Squad to victory. This year brings several changes to this event, which we hope will make this event bigger and better then last year. Read on for the new changes, and see how all three main games will be involved this time! Signing up your Squad / List of Prizes At the last Squad Supremacy, no questions were asked; your Squad was playing, prepared or unprepared, no matter what. However, in this event, you'll be given the decision of signing your Squad up for the chance to earn great rewards and benefits, at the risk of possibly embracing only defeat and humiliation, or sitting your Squad out of the event if you believe that you can't prepare for the Squad Supremacy in time or wouldn't have a chance. What awaits those who are left standing in the carnage? Here is the list of rewards that awaits the winners:
Rules of Engagement After the sign-ups end, one week will be given to each Squad to organize and prepare the best they can, before the wars start on the weekend following the preparation week. The listed matches will depend on who signs up. The matches are Squad wars, which play out like clan wars. Each match will consist of both a SSBB war and a Pokemon war at the same time, between the two Squads. Here is the ruleset for the matches. However, it is up for discussion, so if you have suggestions to make, go ahead and post them.
Final Details The sign-ups for the Squad Supremacy begins on June 27th, and ends on July 1st. If you need to, use the time before and during the sign-ups to discuss with your Squad about joining the Squad Supremacy. Also, any members who ends up being banned for an incident during Squad Supremacy will be automatically kicked out of their current Squads and not allowed to join any Squads until the Squad Supremacy is over. Any such members will be re-added to their previous Squads. Use this topic to discuss the Squad Supremacy and post any questions. Hoping to see you guys play, and if you do, good luck! ~ SHS_JJEmpire, SHS Pidgeot and the SHS Staff Edited by SHS_JJEmpire, 10/07/2011 - 04:08 am.

| consdier brawl from last man standing to crew style cause LMS is who has best player will win it. Its not about whos squad is better. id suggest 3 v3 crew style wars. |

Personally, I believe that Last Man Standing would be more suitable, since it's unlikely we'd have equal terms every match. Having Crew Style with unfair odds would almost doom the one who's stuck with those odds. |

| umm no, last man standing makes it unequal since its all about who is hte best ONE person, at least in crew style its about the skill of the squad, the better squad wins, that is the point of competition. this is to see who has the best squad after all. |

| Why is mkwii for bonus points? Shouldn't that be for pokemon?? After all we do have better mkwii tourney turnouts than we do for pogeymanz. |

| well, only reason last SS was crew, cause we actually chose the best players in each squad to compete, now with our teams, we might as well let it be LMS because not everyone in each squad has brawl. |

| thats why i suggest a 3 v 3 crew style. Brawl is our main game and im positive all current squads have a min of 3 ppl who play brawl. ALso if dest was in a squad (not banned) they would win all brawl matches since he would win every match, thats an example as to why crew is better. Because u can take out a good player with 2 lesser players with the counter pick system. Its how all irl clan wars or crew wars are done aka west coast vs east coast. |

Because MKWii and Pokemon plays differently. MKWii is perfectly made for the bonus-points concept, thanks to the Points Hoarder ruleset, and Pokemon goes by the same rules as SSBB (i.e, LMS or Crew Style), so it'd be best to have both Pokemon and SSBB happen in the same match. Also, there are quite a few SSBB/Pokemon dual players, so grouping both games in the same match could help with the Pokemon turnouts. |

| I suggest we make a seperate thread to argue the crew style vs last man standing, unless this thread is the appropriate one for that. |

I agree with Tom's idea for Crew style, not to be picky though. Last man standing just seems to be more of an issue of how good an individual Brawler is, rather than the Squad as a whole, if what I just said makes sense. :O This is the only "discrepancy" I see in the Squad Supremacy. |

| its just to me, this competition is to see what squad is better at the games of this clan. and Last Man standing will just prove which squad "recruited" the best brawler in the clan and not test the squads overall ability in brawl. Plus it allows you to use the counter pick system which is used to balance brawl and make it more competitive. |

What's to stop a Squad from being unable to show up with three players, and showing up with only two players, or even one player? This kind of occurrence happened far too often at the previous Squad Supremacy, and since we had a rule where if you didn't have all your players there, your Squad would lose that match by forfeit, a lot of people suggested that we go with any limit of whoever is online at the moment, rather then making it a restricted number, no more no less. I'm assuming we'd have to make a similar rule for us to get the equal terms we want, or make it where the bigger side needs to have the same number of players as the smaller side, otherwise it'd be twice as hard for the side with fewer numbers to win, due to how Crew Style works. Crew Style works best on equal terms, but when it's set up with unequal terms (i.e, five players on one side, and three players on the others, and not 5v5), it tends to doom the side with fewer numbers. I do agree with how LMS tends to be more focused on the skill of the individual rather then the overall skill of the team, but since we're likely to deal with cases where it'd be 2v4 or 5v1 or 3v2, LMS would be better for us since it'd give the smaller side a better chance. If it was going to be equal terms every time, I'd have gone with Crew Style, but I chose LMS with the likely chance of unequal terms in mind. I'm willing to make it Crew Style if everyone wants it, though, in case my post implied a different answer. I'm just explaining why I made this decision. Your question was already answered in the chatbox. |

| NO JJ crew style is each squad picks the same amount of players to playyy its not 3 v 5 or 2 v 8 . its 3 v 3 or 2 v 2 same amount of stocks on each side. just to clarify that i don' think you understood that. |
