| Welcome to the Shadow Stars Nintendo gaming clan. We hope you enjoy your visit. You are not currently logged into any account on our clan. If you already have an account, please log in. There are certain features that only members can use. If you have yet to experience our clan, please take the time to look around and consider if this is the clan for you. If you join, you will have the choice of joining one of several member-ran groups called Squads, and will be able to take part in regular tournaments to decide whether your Squad will come out victorious. We hold regular tournaments for Mario Kart 7 (3DS), Mario Kart 8 (Wii U), and Pokemon Showdown, with plans to take up both upcoming Smash Bros games as main games. After having a discussion with some members about banning certain shortcuts, this was our result. Note that if you know of any other shortcuts that you think should be banned or not, please mention it in this topic. Also, the decision to ban/legalize these may be changed if majority agrees. This topic is being made to discuss what we decided on with people who missed the talk, or just have anything relevant to say about the decisions. Decided Bans

If you have nothing to contribute to the topic don't post. You shouldn't be talking seeing as you decided to only complain and leave. Not to mention we don't even have many active mario kart we players, and the ones who missed out get to discuss the bans on this topic. That is why it was made. Now please, either post about the bans, or don't post at all. |

mushroom gorge gap jump is banned all the same. (It's not a very practical shortcut to begin with so deal with it) I'm for one use of delfino shortcut combination does work;doesn't save time my bad Koopa cape doesn't have any. (wasn't aware ppl were fags enough to pass fake shortcuts off as real) What lava cross are you talking about? There are only 2 shorcuts in that level. The one where you hop on the mountain and across the lava and the small island one. I'm for both being banned. gba bowser castle 3 no just no. That's nice you don't care. Hey genius did you know there are these items called gold shroom and star power? They work really well off road  That's nice you don't give 2 shits but this isn't about you now is it? It's a glitch and it's banned. Since you have such a fucking problem with ANY shortcut being called ultra let me give your stubborn brain a visual description. You know that shortcut that jumps you all the way across the river in parkway it's banned and so is the jumping onto the ramp one. Was that simple enough for you to understand? I made sure not to use the word "ultra" anywhere just for you. |

"Combining shortcuts for Delfino Square. You're allowed to either jump across the water OR go through the brown mud NOT BOTH!" I became very disheartened at this ban. If the player is able to pull off both shortcuts that shows how skilled they are. Everything else I'm okay with. Some of these I did not know about. |

| I'm not a professional MKWii player or anything like that, and I don't play MKWii to the point where I discuss it in how the programming works, but here's what I think: I generally believe that anything that's not part of the game, i.e a glitch or a shortcut that was born because of bad course design on Nintendo's part, should not be considered as a legal shortcut. Anything that Nintendo intended to be part of the game should be legal, within reason. |

| I don't think ignorance of the rules is gonna stop anyone from getting punished. We don't do that in brawl tourneys. Btw weren't we suppose to vote on this new ban list? ( I'm still for the delfino square one being allowed one use per race) |

I mean, after watching the video Nate posted it seems like you can't accidentally do them. But do the ones with ramps on the side roads really count as shortcuts? The ramps are there for a reason lol |

| Some of those shortcuts nate posted aren't even banned Oso. If you really wanna know which ones we banned just look at the list, type in the name of track, add shortcut to it, and click enter. |
