The sun was orange in the sky. The clouds were different shades of pink and purple and orange. The terrain was rocky, tan colored stone everywhere the eye could see. There were large bolders, pillars, and other natural formations all over the place. Larek had finally caught up with his target. Larek was now behind the man. Larek raised his crossbow at the man's back. "Turn around. I didn't come all this way to shoot you in the back. Use the last bit of your life to entertain me." |

Albaeran froze. Slowly he turned to see the speaker. A ahkeelis with wicked black armor and a mace. Whats more, he had a crossbow pointed towards his heart. He got of Mandorb and drew Valor. "I accept your challenge. And put down that crossbow, I thought you wanted to have fun."

OOC: Larek doesn't have two flails... he has one mace. "Alright," responded Larek with a grin. Larek quick latched his crossbow to his armor and grabbed his shield and his mace. Shield in left arm, mace in right hand. "Make your move." |

Albaeran ran forwards and immediately jumped at him. Using both hands on his sword, he blocked the first mace swing and got both feet on the shield. He kicked of it, hoping that, when combined with the rocky terrain, it would stagger his opponent. Not even checking if his plan worked, he immediately went for the legs while keeping half an eye on the mace. |

The target had dodged the first swing and kicked off of his shield. Larek repositioned one of his feet, not even staggering. The target tried to swipe Larek's legs with his sword. Larek dropped down in an instant blocking the sword with his shield. "You'll have to do better than that. I went through twenty two years of training and I'm not going down that easy." Larek raised his palm at Albaeran and shot a bolt of lightning at him. Larek was prepared to mirage more bolts at him in case he dodged the first one. "You can't survive, human," said Larek, laughing. Edited by 7 of Hearts, Jan 30 2011, 01:32 PM.

A bolt of lightning flew from the ahkeelis's palm, witch he barely dodged. Another flashed inches from his face, some of it leaping into hem. So electricity was his game? He stuck Valor into the ground and knelt behind it, using it as a lightning rod for the onslaught of blots. He smiled, "You meet plenty of things while your patrolling the country, magic included. You need to learn how to deal with it soon, or you will find you wont live long. I would give you one last chance to walk away, but I know what your answer would be." |

Albaeran dodged the bolts and used his sword to stop the rest of the lightning. "Ha! Offer me a chance to walk away? You are blind, Orthen scum. I am , however, impressed that you blocked the lightning like that." Larek charged and swung multiple times at Albaeran. |

Albearan felt alive, he had grown up with the sword, he even used it before he could talk. Yes, the opponent had trained since before he was born, but he developed how to walk the same time he learned how to parry a attack. A fight was as simple as breathing. He had never met anyone who was as fluent in battle, and this was no exception. However, there was the same problem as his approach, there was no easy way to attack. There was the shield that covered a huge area, and the mace that had more strength in every blow than he had in his strongest cleave. He saw no way to attack, so he put all his efforts into his defense. |

Albaeran blocked the hits that he couldn't dodge. Larek threw his next swing at Albaeran's chest. Immediately afterwards, Larek kicked forward at Albaeran's lower torso. Larek doubted that Albaeran would be recover quick enough from the swing dodge to dodge the kick. Right after the kick, Larek would burst flames from his hands in an attempt to disintegrate Albaeran. |

Albaeran deflected any and all hits that came his way. He ducked under attacks aimed for his head, leaped over sweeps and parried relentless swings. He blocked a power full attack aimed for his chest, twisted to avoid a kick, and shouted in pain as a fire burst from his foe's hands, incinerating his left forearm. He was lucky, however, in that his his remaining melted arm swelled enough to stop the bleeding. His left arm ending in a stub at the elbow, he hopelessly watched his enemy. He than saw a way to end the fight, call his horse. With Mandorb flanking him, it would be a easy victory. No, he was above that. He would win or loose with honor. He eyed his assaulter, waiting for a opening. |
