The Shard. A seemingly endless spire of crystal in the middle of a frozen wasteland. A time would come when someone would unlock the ancient mysteries of this great artifact, but is that time now? A man has set his eyes upon the great tower and will soon challenge the trials and tests of The Shard. Should the man succeed, his name will be celebrated for years and the lives of the inhabitants of this world will be changed forever.

Fellek stood at the bottom of the impossibly tall spire, his next challenge.

"Are you sure about this?" Ellnin asked.
Fellek looked at his wife and nodded. "I have reasons to believe me and Pozar's powers are linked to this. I have to know more, even if it kills me."
She sighed, "How did I know you would say that?"
Fellek grinned, "Maby because you have a IQ exceeding 300?"
"Just go battery head."

Fellek shot up threw the air at mach 1000 speed, determined to get to the top. He watched as the ground became more distant, eventually disappearing behind clouds. He than turned his gaze towards the giant tower, looking for a place to land.

OOC: I don't know weather the surface of the shard is completely smooth or not, but I'm assuming there is a man sized ledge within the first 2000 miles. If not he makes his own with his arm blades.

Far above the clouds. The man was now near the tip of The Shard. The sky was getting darker and the temperature was freezing cold. There were no ledges on the entire structure and no matter how close one got to the tower, only their reflection could be seen in the crystal that made up the tower, the inside of the tower couldn't be seen from the outside. Suddenly, The tower began to glow brightly. The intensity grew rapidly until Fellek was blinded by the light. As Fellek's vision slowly came back to him, he would see that he was standing in the ice and snow with his wife once again at the large doors that were The Shard's entrance.

Guess there's no taking the easy way, he mused, looking at the tower. I wonder if I should have jumped higher instead of planning a place to land...
Ether way, he decided he was going to have to this the hard way. Turning his arms into blades, he kicked open the doors, expecting the worst.

The man kicked open the doors to see nothing but an empty room with a large spiral staircase likely leading to the top of the tower. Unfortunately the staircase was enclosed into a corridor fashion so there was no way for the man to fly to the top. Walking up the stairs would no doubt take hours.

Fellek glanced suspiciously around the room, and when he was fairly sure there were no traps of any sorts, he set out at a inhuman pace up the stairs.

The challenger likely hoped for a few intense ambushes to help with the boredome but the tower would grant him no such favors. After about four hours, the stairs finally ended at two large double doors. Engraved in the doors were the words What goes up, must come down. The words seemed almost taunting.

Fellek looked at the script amused. If it was trying to ward of intruders than it had failed miserably. If nothing, it said he would come out alive. Well, he would come out. But he had faced countless living hells, and no door would scare him off.
He gently pushed on the door, to find it was sealed shut.
Cute.
He turned his arm into a blade and shoved it between the doors. With a smirk on his face, he sent a teravolt or two into the door, and promptly kicked the smoldering heap in.
He felt drained, and realized he had WAY over-done it. He had spent years gathering that much energy from thousands of lightning bolts.
He needed more self control he realized. Much more. He entered expecting the worst.

Fellek, walked into the room. An empty room. With a staircase seeming to go up forever. After a few moments Fellek would notice that he was back where he started again. Were he to turn around, the door that he just walked out of was now replaced by The Shard's entrance. The magical tower was taunting him.

Fellek was surprised to say the least. Than he smiled. "Well tower, you win round one." he said aloud. "However, you will find I am more than capable of solving puzzles." He decided on three possible solutions. One, he would run for two hours and turn back, in case space was merely warped in the tower. Two, he would go all the way to the door, and if it was still there, he would turn around and turn back, fulfilling the riddle. Third, he would just try again, there is a posibility that this was a fluke in a telaporting system and he was supposed to be sent to a different location.
How annoying, he thought as he ran threw the halls.
