You go to a site that has an older version of SCC and then upload it to kong through some import feature.

Ahh, i see.

Funny that despite patching the game so much, flashbacker left in some hefty exploits.

It's definitely not intentional, and it's not a feature. It's basically copy pasting the .sol file from an older version to the new one. The new version prevents you from placing parts over the limit, but will still use a .sol file with more than the allowed parts.

Obviously it is not intentional.

By the way, with the game, specifically all the random game sites that have it.

Isn't most of the versions you find, illegal? Because flashbacker owns it?

I'm pretty sure most sites with it have it legally. Kong and Newgrounds for sure, since he uploaded it there himself. The other site I know of with an older version is also probably legal- if you try to upload a shellcore from there, it tells you to go to Kong, implying that Flashbacker made a modified version of skirmish for non-Kong sites to use, with the core uploading thing disabled.

I see...

Anyway, here is a dev team who is making a particularly similar game.

Feel free to assist with suggestions, I am sure the devs would appreciate it.

Sounds interesting, but I'll withhold suggestions until a demo is released.

That actually looks pretty cool, thanks for pointing it out.

I don't think he will be releasing a demo, but it is possible for a free open alpha.

Although i think it is more likely that he will make it a low price open alpha, possibly with a free closed alpha.
