It might not necessarily be the end. Darty is working on an SCC fangame, which might re-invigorate the board. Additionally, I have a big project that is semi-SCC-related in the works myself.

However, you have to admit, we have all held out for an incredibly long time without Flashbacker. The disappearance of a lone developer for this long would have killed quite a few other gaming communities years ago.

I know that I founded and sort of moved on to Aeiou, but I still really do not want to see this place go. I am still as big of an SCC fan as ever (I mean, just look at Aeiou. Half of the forum is still SCC-themed.), and this forum was my first true experience on the magical internetz. I was a completely different person when I joined this forum (Well, the original "Official" SCC board, to be exact.), and my experiences here really helped to change that (Yes, even the big flame wars we fought and whatnot.).

It would really be sad to see us all split our separate ways after so long. We have all put quite a bit of our free time into SCC, and it would be depressing for it to just die like this. However, it looks like that is going to be what is going to happen, unless one of these fan projects really takes off.
Same.

I'm going to miss what this forum used to be. Having a tight-knit community centered around a terribly fun flash game was really great. But as mentioned before, all good things must come to an end, whether we will them to or not. It's unfortunate but inevitable. :/

Yeah, it is sad to see this place go.

But, it was fun while it lasted. SCC was actually the first thing I really got into on the internet, too.

I suppose that we should not be sad that it is over, but rather happy that it happened to begin with.

Well, the multi-quote and some other unidentifiable button are gone. I guess this is the start of decomposition.

Edit: The edit button is gone too. It is just an imageshack gray thing or whatever.

Soon people will be talking about ShellCore Command again once the fan made version is made

They've said this so many times!

Everything is far too late, the salvation has come when everything is already long-gone and dead!

etc. etc.

More to the point, it's a bit late even for that. Even if you managed to go beyond the impossible and make a full game despite others giving up....

Try the king of devils in the heart of hate, and for Flashbacker's sake do it.
