To any left in this community - I'm an amateur game designer with enough skill and enthusiasm for ShellCore Command to make a fan game happen. I have limited skill and would love some help in things like creating sprites (if i can do it, anyone can), creating music/sound (or finding fitting free sounds), and overall planning of the game. If you are interested in making this a reality, please reply here and shoot me an email. If I get enough support, I'd love for us all to collectively create a fan tribute to ShellCore Command that collaborates all your ideas. Who is with me? ![]() Again, my skills are very limited but just playing around I current have: -A spawning area protected by automated turrets -randomly spawning enemy units that take damage and fire at the player and shellcore allies -A basic "Haven" as in the ShellCore Command game where various ships can be dialogued with. -An empty map divided into quadrants, which are acknowledged by enemy spawn rules. What I do NOT believe I will be able to implement: -Customizable/editable ships -Destructible ship parts -More complex weapons such as lasers -Intelligent enemy AI for warzones. -Complex save feature. I may only be able to save a few items of data. (maybe your currency and current ship) We'll need to brainstorm a way to make this work. What I can bring back from the original game: -Playstyle- Fly, shoot, explore as before. -Graphical style and feel -Storyline continuation -Map seperated into regions - havens, cities, bases, hostile areas with spawning enemies. -Various enemy/ally ship classes -Recruiting ally ships to your fleet -Gradual increase in ship power. -In-game currency and shops What NEW things I would add to compensate for shortcomings (and just for fun )-Every ship will be recruitable -Upgrade to new ships (rather than assemble) -Unique new protagonist - "Spark" is a newborn core with the unique ability to survive outside of his shell. As such, he can freely inhabit any empty shell (aka ship). -New factions - Blue, Orange, yellow, etc... What is their role in the greater universe? -Anything you want! Let your imagination fly, and lets make this our dream game ![]() Development I use the program "Multimedia Fusion 2" which is a simplified game design tool. It can publish in flash, or as a desktop application. It's limited as I gave spelled out above, but on the flipside it is very fast to work with making this a manageable project if I have your support
