Time for a brief rant. I'm not a fan of Higurashi. It's box art and intro were far too misleading and the commercials informed me that it was a pleasant show. If I had known it was a bloody and violent show I'd be far more appreciative of it, but it was marketed as "cute and fun" and I was not given cute or fun. If they marketed it to be true to its nature and called it "dark and twisted" I'd have loved the show. If they marketed it with an air of mystery and called it "an unforgettable experience" I'd have loved the show. If they hadn't marketed it at all and relied on word-of-mouth I'd have loved the show. Instead they marketed it as "cute and fun" and I was sorely disappointed and will never bother watching the rest no matter how good it is. As it is however I really liked the character design. I liked the gripping creepy storyline. I liked the voice acting and animation. If I were not promised one thing and given another the whole thing would have been greatly satisfying... But I loved the music and no matter how bad the marketing was I will still listen to the soundtrack. |

Now there's something I haven't heard in years. I was the only kid in the area who had a Sega CD... Almost twenty years ago now. Pity it broke. I've still got the Genesis though. |

I know I've posted this in here already... But I don't care. It's time for Touhou music! |

Rather odd coming from me, but here's something relatively modern that isn't techno or an arrange of some kind. |

Here have another. The first minute is purely epic, but the rest of the song leaves something to be desired. I guess to me it just sounds like they are trying too hard to be heavy. |

Back to Japanese stuff. The theme song of my least favorite character from Madoka, Akemi Homura, is eerie, slow, yet somehow very nostalgic. It makes me want to break out some Playstation RPGs and play them for days on end. |
