That depends. If your opinion is based on baseless assumptions or conjecture or created through torpidity than, no you can't have you opinion as it isn't based on anything stable. Poorly based opinions are the primary cause for the intellectual decline among the populations of the world. I'll have none of that in my thread.

And I'm always listening to music. I'm mostly listening to new release CDs from C82. I'd share some of it with you guys, but most of it hasn't come up on Youtube yet and I don't think anyone else here knows how to sign up for and use NicoNico.

Spar, I have my reasons. We all have our own taste, and none of us are the same. Ion has a different voice than me, you have better vision than I do, we are all different.

Are you telling me that you like being torpid? You prefer blissful ignorance to hard-earned knowledge?

No. Were did you get that? I am just saying that they sound similar to me. Somehow you guys took that and made it into a crisis that you must go on and on and on about. Sorry for the disrespect, but you guys are judging me and being mean to me from an opinion. I know you guys are moderators, but that doesn't mean that you have any reason to judge people for an opinion. I am sorry. But can we please change the subject.

No. I am not changing the subject.

You have yet to voice an opinion, yet you claim we are judging you over an opinion. Saying that techno and dubstep sound similar is not an opinion, in the same way that saying that classical and heavy metal sound similar is not an opinion. It's simply proof that you don't know the difference. Or perhaps you do know the difference, but are choosing to be too lazy to listen.

I'm still guessing you prefer torpidity simply because we are offering assistance on the differences between two forms of electronica and you are either arguing against it or avoiding the topic. This can mean one of two things. Either you don't want to learn and are trying to escape from the offerings of knowledge, or you are purposefully trolling my thread in an effort to piss me off (I certainly hope you aren't).

We're not making this into a crisis. We are not being mean to you. I'm not sure how you arrived at that interpretation of someone offering a bit of information to you. This isn't the Bible. I'm not some snake convincing you to eat a forbidden fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. If you are convinced that knowledge is bad for you and the pursuit of knowledge is some kind of sin, than you really shouldn't be online, because information is everywhere on the web.

I am not trying to troll your thread. God dammit! Did I ever say that they sounded EXACTLY The same and had no differences? NO! I said they sounded similar to me. Dubstep has random noises that sound techno to me. Is there really a problem with saying that two things sound similar?
Man. Dubstep is never a whole part of a song. It is only in pieces of the song. Dubstep consists of strange and (techno in my opinion) noises. Hear that? Strange and techno! Never said they had the same concept. Too me techno is like what you would hear when you tuned a radio, or random buzz/beat boxing. Chimes, tuning noises, and buzzes are techno to me. And that is what dubstep basically has. Look, I am basing my knowledge off of what dubstep and techno I have heard. What I say is what I know, most of the time. So If I said that bananas are yellow, that would be true because I have seen a banana and know what they look like. I Am basing my knowledge off my experience with these things. So We are not on the same page here, are we?

I am sorry for disrespect. But I just reached my snapping point.

You're quite glad that you don't know me personally, I take it? I honestly don't care if you disrespect me, but don't disrespect music. This is a thread about music. How music sounds is important here. "Similar" is not an applicable statement in this case.

You probably don't care.

I must admit that you getting angry is almost entertaining, but I am rather confused as to why you are getting angry. I'm not making fun of you or posting something that can be construed as offensive. I haven't accused you of anything outside of a curious inquiry... Are you bringing in this emotional hostility from an outside source, perhaps? Stressful situation at home or something?

As I know Thundacats personally, I can say this is what is going on, but will not explain any further as I put Thundacats on my ignore list and do not want to have to explain.
