Similar to my opinion of it's electronica descendent, dubstep. It's ok. I prefer other forms of music, but I'll take it over quite a bit of other options if my preferences are unavailable.

OK, spar. I have come to my conclusion. You are very stubborn. None the less, I DO listen to jazz, I listen to about everything on my mind. The Bee Gees have gone through a lot. their younger brother died of drugs in the 80's, their father died, who has basically their manager when they were young, and, yes, I do listen to a lot of video game music. Also, they have been a band for 50 years... atleast before Maurice robin died :( But, the singer is still alive. Think about that, losing 2 brothers who you had one of the most successful careers in the world with, and still making music? It would be hard. I DO agree with you in a way, eh, kinda, because I strongly oppose of the autotuned, just... awful modern pop stuff, like call me maybe, and well, I don't exactly know a lot of other ones, because I don't care... But, We have moved on.

Nice piece of music you posted, their, huh?

Indeed I am quite stubborn. At least on subjects that I have opinions on.

And a lot of bands go through a lot. It's just the way things are. Look at Lynyrd Skynyrd. Half the band, including Ronnie Van Zant, was killed in a plane crash, leaving Johnny Van Zant to take his older brother's spot as singer. The Marshall Tucker Band's lead guitar, Toy Caldwell, lost his younger brother, the bassist Tommy Caldwell, to a car crash. Organist Gregg Allman, of the Allman Brothers, watched his older brother, guitar legend Duane Allman, die after a motorcycle crash, and then a year later the band's bassist, Berry Oakley, died a few blocks away from Duane's crash site in a second motorcycle crash.

All three bands are still on tour. Does it make them better than, say, Golden Earring, that hasn't had much bad luck after fifty one years of touring? No, they are amazing bands, but past tragedy doesn't help them. Does touring for 51 years make Golden Earring better than The Marshall Tucker Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, or The Allman Brothers Band, each of whom have been touring intermittently for about 40 years? No, Golden Earring is awesome and incredible for touring every single year for 51 years straight, but their lengthier experience doesn't make them any better as a band.

I've been sick so my skill at deciphering statements like this is a little dull at the moment. Can someone translate this into English for me? Because I have no idea what he's talking about.

And you should really know better than to attempt to steer my thread in any direction at all. If I feel like discussing something here, then, by jove, it will be discussed.

I've been in the mood for harpsichord. Most people would tell you that Bach is one of the best ways to go if you want harpsichord. They would be correct.

becomes

"I sort of agree with you, since I dislike autotuned, modern pop songs, such as Call Me Maybe. I can't think of any other examples, because I don't care."

Ah, got it. So he was referring to a specific song there. I don't recognize the title, so I guess that the song isn't more than 5 years old (about how long it's been since I was forced to listen to American pop music). Thank you for the assistance Rick.

Like it or not I love the organ. Fortunately Bach loved the organ too.

Call Me Maybe is actually less than a year old, and rather popular.

Then I'm sure I've never heard it. Is it entertainingly bad, like the stalker's theme song from 7 or 8 years ago (I don't remember the name of the song, but it was about a guy stalking a girl that he saw on the train one time)? Or is it just straight up bad, like the pro-incest song from 8 or 9 years ago (again don't remember the name, but it's about being nice to your daughters so that you can have sex with them)?

These are some of the lyrics:

Hey, I just met you.
And this is craaaazy
But heres my number,
So take my baby call me maybe.

... Right... I'll just assume it is straight up bad.

Back to video game arranges. After listening to so much classical for the past few days I need something that is heavily synthesized... This will work.

Don't know why, but I love 3L's voice. Shibayan's arranges are nice, and I like the reverbed effects that he adds to the background vocals, but 3L makes this song much better with her clear, crisp lyrics.
