And that's why I decided to scream "METATIME!" randomly at something.

By the way, anyone have any ideas about a new blogpost where we proceed to further ignore logic and throw physics around until we've broken any and all realism? We're currently thinking throwing universes at a wall and talking excitedly about some new person.

Throw universe at its current location. Glue together completely incompatible physics sets. Wait for reality to break and quantum-vanish.

Until you add a way to travel between identical universes/alternate dimensions/WHATEVER, I can probably attempt to blow the ship up by messing with space-time until the ship is no longer sourced in time due to something related to making all stars in it's original yard blow up before the development of humanity, then proceed to throw various black holes around things and wait for you to scream "THAT MAKES NO SENSE WHATSOEVER!"

Did you scream yet? :3

But seriously, if it's limited to one area of existence, all one has to do is time travel, screw with time and hope the ship hasn't anchored in metatime or whatever, stop the creation of the ship, use your metatime anchoring to ignore paradoxen via temporal shielding and avoidance of trying to figure it out, then proceed to throw blackholes through time and space until the Big Bang is edited in such a way the universe was never made, then proceed to throw tangled timelines until you scream.

Honestly, have you screamed that it makes no sense yet?

Trust me, it barely makes sense from MY end. If it makes sense on your end... :/

Nedben, how many times do I have to tell you?! "It does not make sense and is illogical!" is not a valid reason. Please actually attempt to think while typing. It may help you in the long run.

What? Are you and Nedben planning on making some ripoff ShellCore Command Forum that is full of illogical stories and Brony filth? If so, I really do not care. It is not like it will be successful.

I will personally attack a ripoff illogical forum by trolling it as a guest.

Also, on the subject of magic versus technology: Magic is dislogical and usually breaks the laws of physics. Technology is constrained by the laws of physics. Magic is as orderly as whatever media it came from. Technology will always have certain limitations. Therefore the whole argument is pointless.

DARTY, what do you mean by new forum? And wha-

No, the spy is not releasable until the experiment fails or succeeds.

If you start a new forum, I will spam it with bad writing and hope everyone is turned away by the incomprehensible talk resembling spambots and virus-carrying torrent sites.
Particularly if it is bad enough to merit my personal attention.

@Technology Vs Magic. Depending on what type of mage it is fighting this could go ether way.

Like DWD said, A fire or even an Archmage would be completly outmatched, However a combat alchemist ( http://fma.wikia.com/wiki/Scar )
like the one I have linked would be able to easly crush a medium sized enemy force, If you want to get REALLY brutal, how about this guy: ( http://fma.wikia.com/wiki/Pride ) While technicly not a magic user, he exists only because of the fact that an alchemy circle the size of an entire nation was used to create the Philosopher's Stone that now resides inside his body ( http://fma.wikia.com/wiki/Xerxes ) Besides that, he can do this: Posted Image
What kind of military would kill a harmless little kid, then again, they would never see that untill it was much to late...

Also, If want to know what exactly Selim is, well...
Homunculi all carry the form of human beings, albeit some of them with exaggerated features.

Some of them have cat-like slits for pupils, pointed teeth, pale skin, and each are marked with an Ouroboros tattoo somewhere on their body. The placement of their tattoo is often in accordance with the sin they represent (Greed's is on his hand, Gluttony's on his tongue, and Lust's right above her cleavage).

Although they are shown to eat, drink and sleep, it is not necessary that they do so in order to survive; they need only the energy provided them by the Philosopher's Stone used in their creation. Despite being replicate humans, however, homunculi are still aberrations of nature created by violating the flow of the natural universe, and as such, have no souls. This property gives them many physical dissimilarities to ensouled humans:

■ Super-Human Abilities: Homunculi are physically superior to humans in every way. Their bodies are faster, stronger, and far more resilient than normal human bodies. They do not age (in most cases), are immune to all sicknesses and poisons, and can heal from any injury even those resulting in death.

■ Molecular Mutability: Because their bodies do not have souls, the constituent molecules that constitute the Homunculi's bodies can be rearranged to form other substances or to grant shape-changing abilities. The homunculus Greed is able to rearrange the carbon bonds in his skin to turn it into diamond-hard armor; Gluttony's saliva is acidic enough for him to bite, chew through and digest substances of any hardness; Lust is able to change the shape of her fingers and form them into long-reaching lance-like weapons; and Envy can change the shape of his body into the form of any person or animal, or even into simple weaponry. For some reason, this ability gives all of the homunculi the ability to create their own clothing. It is black and can either cover or remain beneath the red circle patterns that decorate their limbs.

However, soullessness also acts as a disadvantage for the homunculi.

■ Non-Alchemists: Because homunculi do not have souls, they are incapable of opening the Gate inside them and are thus unable to perform alchemy. The sole exception to this is Wrath, who is only able to perform alchemy because he possesses Edward Elric's lost limbs. However, Wrath eventually loses Edward's limbs, along with the ability to perform alchemy.

■ Artificiality: Because the homunculi are creatures created to replace certain persons who have died, coming into proximity with that person's remains results in the homunculus becoming weakened to the point of immobility. Lust is shown to even faint when brought close to a lock of hair belonging to her original identity. Wrath is the only exception to this rule because he was actually transmuted from his own remains.

There are also multiple stages of technology as well. I think that even a large force of highly trained and powerful Homunculi would be f***ed if a hostile GTVA Colossus suddenly showed up in orbit.

Additionally, while this series has alchemical-enhanced humans, technology will eventually give way to cybernetic-enhanced humans (As much as I would love to say so, I do not think that my removable electric motor system I built that I can attach to my right arm counts quite yet.), or even better, androids that have the mind of a human. This would come close to evening the odds in that respect.

And Selim may be very physically tough and capable of summoning those strange illogical face things, but I would be willing to bet that a experienced sniper could take him out if he/she had the element of surprise and a high-powered rifle (Presumably one that was custom-built for the task).

All in all, as DarkWingedDaemon said, it would depend on the series in question, and the "Age" of technology. Those "Adepts" from my favorite series with magic would get owned by anything post-gunpowder age. However, I personally think that these "combat alchemists" would probably be just about even against a modern force, but would get obliterated by anything more advanced.

Exactly.
So it depends on what era you are fighting, Therefore, I call it a DRAW.

Also note that Selim does not summon those, he actually is those.

Oh wait hold on, that sniper round could not kill him unless it found its way into his Philosopher's Stone, and I dont even know where that is. Outcome is unchanged.
