I won't. I only use them when I go farm the southern infected, south-west and leader. I use 3 command 3's (I've got alot) and 2 Controls in case my worker drones got killed. And here is my new design! ![]()

I do have to sort of agree with darty on this. I recently redid the weapons page on the wiki (which now includes damage per energy, courtesy of Camo) and I noticed the cannon 3 has the highest base (as in, without factoring in damage bonuses versus certain targets) DPS of all the weapons except the Main, of which only 1 can be used,and the bullet 3, which cannot be obtained in Episode 2. This is of course due to the cannon 3's extremely short reload time. One thing to note is that, since the cannon 3's firepower superiority depends on its reload, you need to disable your Main to effectively use more than 7 cannon 3s at a time. Also, even without the main it reaches its max number of useful weapons at 10, versus 20 for the bullets and 30 for beam 3s. I still prefer the beam when fighting dogfights and bullets in battlezones, since when damage bonuses are factored in they greatly overpower the cannon versus shellcores and stations, respectively. The cannon is not a bad weapon though, and it can do more than just kill drones like most people think. |

Considering these factors: -No part limit -Infinite Energyyyy!!!!! Missiles are the best Dps for dogfight. At least what i think. My setup: Beams Missiles Beams and missiles have very different reload times, thus i can fire almost continuously. |

Missiles suck, at least when you have a parts limit. They have the worst damage per energy of the air weapons (excluding disrupt) and their slow speed makes it almost trivial for a reasonably agile shellcore to outmaneuver them. They are only useful when you have no limit on the energy regens you can equip, and only then is because their slow reload means their effective limit number is 50. In terms of damage, missiles have the most damage per shot, but the missile 3 is tied with the beam 3 in DPS- assuming all the missiles hit their target, and ignoring the missile's higher energy cost. |

Actually, no. You can use up to 30 Beam 3s before additional ones become ineffective (or about 22 if you don't disable the Main). You cannot get 30 of any weapon in any game with a part limit. Therefore, using pure beams has no downsides compared to mixing beams and missiles, which uses more energy for the same DPS. |
