I was trying not to answer all the problems that Decel came up with, but I can't watch them be answered incorrectly.

It pains me to see unanswered questions like those. Incorrect ones even more so.

Bring it on spar. You got a five point lead that has dwindled to one. Enjoy the competition!

I've got one, it's not much but my mind is running on empty now.

Question 18
If the sun is 830,000 miles across, the moon has a diameter of 2190 miles, the Earth is 94,000,000 miles from the Earth's surface, the moon is 234,000 miles from the Earth's surface, and the earth is 8000 miles across, what is the maximum percentage of the earth's surface that can be covered by a solar eclipse at one time?

Earth is 94,000,000 miles from the Earth's surface

Did you mean the sun?

EDIT: Grrr! I haven't the faintest idea of how to solve this! Google has failed me as well!

For 17 Spar, did you do 5280mi/(22in*Pi/12in/ft)*130mph/60? Because I got 1986.23569 ~ 1986.2357. Hmmm, I'm too lazy to do the unit changes to see how that would work
