Not quite in that order, but that's the gist of it, yeah. |

I hope I am right in thinking that your absence, decel, is because you are still thinking of new problems. We must get to 25! |

First of all, that was not the question, we are waiting for one. And second, it actually takes a tad over eight minutes. |

SergeantRick is correct on both counts. And I am thinking of new questions, which will involve "physics". |

No, because you didn't do any math. Question 19 A car traveling at 28 meters per second stops over a distance of 79 meters. What is the coefficient of friction between the car and the road? |

Is it stopping on concrete, or asphalt? As I understand, that yields different answers. EDIT: Assuming the surfaces are dry... Asphalt: 0.9 Concrete: 0.7-ish Edited by Brayzure, Oct 13 2011, 08:58 AM.

How the hell did you calculate that? I gave you how far it continues to move after the brakes are applied. That distance has nothing to do with the surface. |

I looked it up. There I said it. I had absolutely no idea what a coefficient of friction was, so I looked it up, and I found a table with coefficients of friction for common surfaces. Here: http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/friction-coefficients-d_778.html |
