The larger core says really fast "Igottagookthanksbye!" before using his battletractor to break Rick/Synergy's tractor's grip, then letting go, then speeding off to somewhere on the other side of the city.

A trader, passing by your house, says there's been a massive shortage of speed passives because the big core bought them all. He pays me and Decel a few hundred credits for some speed passives before the trader flies off to the marketing subsector to sell them.

There's something coming up, you can feel it.

Ask Decel to make some for me. "Decel, please make me some!" Then learn how to make my own parts.

Decel makes SynergyRick some speed passives, which a friendly nearby carrier attaches, then Synergy speeds off to the training sessions, particularly the part making class, and passes with part manufacturer.

SYNERGY/RICK learned the skill PART MAKING.

Suddenly, a large rumbling sound occurs. You cluster together, hoping it isn't a shellcore earthquake or something and lightning isn't going to make you explode, and a VF-colored minidrone rushes by, nibbling on a minidrone treat. It says, in Terry's voice, "Hey guys. That rumbling is the Pink Leader. She's gotten hungry, so unless you want to spend the next few hours stuck to the core of that crazy gal, I recommend you fly as fast as possible to stay ahead of her. If you're wondering why I am a minidrone, I got hit by a swarm of strike drones being inhaled into the Pink Leader, so I used Retreat and used my special power to respawn as my original kind, the minidrone. Hurry along if you want." Terry dashes off, following a horde of various shellcores fleeing like a school of fish before a shark. The Infected Leader, using his diplomatic shell and being REALLY slow, although on the other side of the city, is sucked in with a cloud of minidrones and stuck onto the giant IMA katamari-like-if-she-wants core of the Pink Leader. The coreshell pincers on the Pink Leader wriggle somewhat as a whole cloud of strike drones, and a large Defect Commander, spherical and spiking lightning while surrounded by a cloud of said strike drones, are sucked in as well. The Pink Leader is hardly using her tractor beam arrays, preferring to swoop towards her 'prey' and 'eat' it the hard way. "OM NOM NOM WHEEEEEEE!!! YAY MORE SHELLCOREZ!" and such the Pink Leader yells happily as she gobbles down smaller shellcores. You didn't notice her core was that big. Apparently it started out big as an IMA core and only gets bigger with every passing feeding time.

Flee?

You run for your lives, just in case getting stuck to the core of an IMA and being eaten for a few hours before being let go actually hurts.

The guy with the speed passive spam seems to be bouncing around everywhere EXCEPT the Pink Leader and nearly smashes into you fifteen times in less than a second. The Pink Leader finally catches the speeder guy and suddenly becomes MUCH faster. She turns, randomly selecting your direction. She darts forward, gaining on you.
You're almost to the edge of the city!

Turn around, and dodge past the Pink Leader. Flee into an indoor structure!

Open fire on the pink leader, and die valiantly!

Decel fires at the crazy nomming IMA woman, but her shell regen fixes the damage immediately.
Decel has been EATEN by the PINK LEADER!
Synergy BARELY evades the pink leader, and manages to get inside a building...Which turns out to be a carrying-core Carrier, who lets you in his bay and starts dragging you along with the Harvester Turret Mod extra tractor beams, along with several drones and turrets, but the Pink Leader catches up after netting a few more minidrone clouds. The Carrier does the equivalent of a shellcore smiling wink as he shifts to launch/eject everything in his bay really fast away just before he is sucked into the Pink Leader.

Soon, the entire city is sucked into the Pink Leader. Terry seems to have respawned as himself again, and adds another mark to a presentation. There are several similar pages, all filled with marks. A few hours pass, and the Pink Leader's attachment wires slowly begin loosening, several cores shaking as their cores begin to detach from the big IMA. Suddenly, the earthquake sound grows louder, and the entire city is expulsed back to its earlier locations. Shellcores resume normal operations, and the background music changes from battlezone to normal ambient.

Get the highest core possible. For free!

A nearby mind-reading Upgrader hears your plan of action and kindly says "You actually cannot get any core upgrades, even just additional mods, for free. The upgrader class actually even has an entry fee, because if done wrong, a failed core upgrade might actually hurt people and cause several aftereffects for several respawns. However, the entry fee is very cheap and is really just to pay for the mission rewards for the supply farmers for all of the very many government-sponsored training programs in the city. You should have the money in your party funds. I'm actually an all-purpose all-skill core, but my primary work is as Upgrader.".
