These techniques are meant to represent the old ways of the village, in the days where Konohagakure still stood tall. True to the stubborn nature of their ancestors, some jutsu still survive, passed down. Jutsu Name: Inka no Mai (Dance of the Fire Spirit) Type: Ninjutsu, Supplementary Rank: C-S (scales with user) Element: Katon Hand Signs: Dragon Description: A unique style of ninjutsu practiced by Numagakure's inka, a group of fire dancers. The user breathes out a large quantity of flame, wrapping it around their body. This 'armor' serves several purposes. Anyone who attempts to strike the user will suffer burns from coming in contact with the fiery aura, and strikes from the shinobi (whether hand-to-hand or weapons empowered by use of a technique like Ryuka) will also incur additional damage from the flames. Further, Katon techniques require less chakra while this technique is active (since they already have a fire source to emanate from). More experienced users can also utilize pre-existing fire sources to empower their techniques. This style of fighting requires an exceptional degree of chakra control--both to control the path of the flames and to avoid harming themselves. Jutsu Name: Hōsenka no Jutsu (Phoenix Sage Fire Technique) Type: Ninjutsu, Offensive Rank: C Element: Katon Hand Signs: Rat, Tiger, Dog, Ox, Rabbit, Tiger Description: This technique creates a volley of small fireballs, which are sent flying in an unpredictable manner assaulting the enemy. In addition, the flames are controlled one by one with chakra, so avoiding them all is extremely difficult. Shuriken can also be concealed within the flames, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. Like the flames, the shuriken can be controlled with chakra. For the most part, however, this technique is used as a distraction. Special: If the shinobi is a member of the inka or has been trained in their methods, this technique requires no hand seals while the user benefits from Dance of the Fire Spirit. Jutsu Name: Hōsenka Tsumabeni (Phoenix Sage Flower Nail Crimson) Type: Ninjutsu, Offensive Rank: C Element: Katon Hand Signs: Rat, Tiger, Dog, Ox, Rabbit, Tiger Description: The user unleashes a volley of shuriken with one hand, and at the same time, exhales fire-infused chakra onto them in order to increase the weapons' destructive potential by making them capable of inflicting severe burns upon direct contact with either the intended victim, or any other object caught within their trajectories. Due to the chakra-based nature of the flames that surround them, the shuriken will continue to burn after impact, regardless of the flammability of the object that they ultimately collide with. Special: If the shinobi is a member of the inka or has been trained in their methods, this technique requires no hand seals while the user benefits from Dance of the Fire Spirit. Jutsu Name: Ryūka no Jutsu (Dragon Fire Technique) Type: Ninjutsu, Offensive Rank: C Element: Katon Hand Signs: Snake, Dragon, Rabbit, Tiger Description: The user breathes fire along a cord or any other type of long object, which rushes forward in straight line catching the enemy on fire. A line of enemies can be used as the conductor as well. The flames are meant to target, and assault the enemy's upper body just like a projectile weapon. Special: If the shinobi is a member of the inka or has been trained in their methods, this technique requires no hand seals while the user benefits from Dance of the Fire Spirit. Jutsu Name: Gōkakyū no Jutsu (Great Fireball Technique) Type: Ninjutsu, Offensive Rank: C Element: Katon Hand Signs: Horse, Tiger Description: A technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire and expelled from the mouth either as a massive orb of roaring flame or as a continuous flame-thrower. The scope of the attack is altered by controlling the volume of chakra that is mustered. The released flames will engulf their target, and leave a crater on the ground's surface. Jutsu Name: Gōryūka no Jutsu (Great Dragon Fire Technique) Type: Ninjutsu Rank: B (see text) Element: Katon Hand Signs: Tiger, Dragon, Ox Description: The user compresses a large amount of chakra built up inside their body and changes it into a dragon-shaped fireball. The user then skilfully manipulates that great fire, and attacks their opponent. Even outside of the attack range, its power and reliability are stressed. The flames have a high temperature, as they can create an upward movement of air currents which in turn can give rise to thunder clouds. A master of this technique can fire off several flames in succession and anyone caught in the technique could potentially be reduced to ashes. Special: Among the inka of Numagakure, this technique is seen as a sign of one's mastery of Katon jutsu. Due to their exceptional chakra control and focus on manipulating fire as a core tenet of their fighting style, inka are able to control the dragon with a degree of ease compared to outsiders. The flames are faster, and thus present an even higher danger to their opponent. However, maintaining the Gōryūka for extended periods of time is a difficult task and will tire the user out if they aren't careful. For this reason, Gōryūka is considered an A-rank technique when used by the fire-dancers. Jutsu Name: Konoha Senpū (Leaf Whirlwind) Type: Taijutsu Rank: D Hand Signs: --- Description: A taijutsu where one launches a succession of high kicks and low kicks. Firstly, the opponent's evasion margin is restrained upon seeing the high kick, thus augmenting the chances for the low kick to hit the mark. So originally the high kick is little more than a feint. Jutsu Name: Kage Buyō (Shadow of the Dancing Leaf) Type: Taijutsu Rank: D Element: --- Hand Signs: --- Description: A technique where one follows the opponent, closely matching his or her body's movement, just like a leaf that dances in the air is followed by its shadow. The technique is usually preceded by a swift upper kick that will launch the target into the air. It is mainly used to position an opponent into a vulnerable aerial position. This move by itself is rather minor, but it is usable as a stepping stone for additional techniques. Jutsu Name: Kage Bunshin (Shadow Clone Technique) Type: Ninjutsu Rank: B Element: ---- Hand Signs: Clone Seal Description: Similar to the basic Clone Technique, this technique creates copies of the user. However, these clones are corporeal instead of illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing techniques on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after hit by a strong enough force. The clones can also disperse on their own or be dispelled by the user of the technique. Shadow clones can't be distinguished from the actual person even by dōjutsu because the clones have the exact same amount of chakra as the original, and aren't made from any other substance like water clones are for example Jutsu Name: Mikazuki no Mai (Dance of the Crescent Moon) Type: Ninjutsu Rank: A Element: --- Hand Signs: Clone Seal Description: The user creates two shadow clones before proceeding to assault the enemy, with the clones attacking from the left and right and the user attacking from above. The assault occurs on three fronts simultaneously; it is almost impossible to catch the opponent flat-footed. Furthermore, the mighty sword strikes are so severe that receiving a blow from just even one among the three will inevitably result in a fatal wound. The style and magnificence of how the user and their shadow clones leap and swing their swords at the opponent's upper body creates an orbital pattern, the elegance of which is reminiscent to the shape of a crescent moon, hence the technique's name. Special: Requires Kage Bunshin Edited by Yajuu, Feb 5 2014, 04:47 PM.
