READ ALL THE RULES
Your first and most important rule of all... is to read all the rules and to follow them! The rules are here to keep the forums running smoothly. With your help, anything can be accomplished.

REGISTERED MEMBERS ONLY
You must first register to be able to post on the forums.

RESPECT EVERYONE
Respect is a very important factor when it comes to working well with others. Show others the respect they deserve, and you will get the same respect in return.

~The Members
It is each and every members responsibility to help keep this forum a friendly place. We are here to work together, not against one another... so treat everyone with respect. We expect the best behavior.

~The Staff
DO NOT rely on the staff to do everything for you. The staff members will not always be there to hold your hand and walk you through things step by step. Respect the staff members personal space (yes, we have lives, too, you know) and do NOT hassle them unless it is completely necessary.

If you have a problem with another member or feel that a moderator is abusing his/her power on the forums, please send Private Message (PM) to a moderator or administrator with proof and explanation of the offence.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
It's better safe then sorry... so keep all personal information to yourself. DO NOT give out phone numbers, addresses, and anything of the sort. Any sort of private information posted on the forums will be done at your own risk and is highly discouraged (the only exception is pictures and first names).

OPINIONS
Every member has a right to their own opinions and is allowed to express their ideas in the forums. However, explicit material and flaming is unacceptable. Feel free to share your opinions, but do not feel offended when people do not agree (for nothing is 100% clear in most situations). Simply put, RESPECT others views.

NO FLAMING AND BASHING
Flaming and Bashing of other members, opinions, video game characters, etc. will NOT be tolerated. The possibility of such an offense will result in the suspension or ban from the forums. People come to the forums to have fun, not to get their feelings trampled upon. Flaming and Bashing is immature, rude, and disrespectful-- it should not be done on the forums (nor anywhere else).

NO EXPLICIT MATERIALS
Remember, there are young kids who play the game as well-- be a good role model. There is to be NO sexual content on the forums AT ALL. Should an admin or moderator find such things, one can be suspended or banned from the forums without warning. Swearing and things of the sort should also be kept to a minimum (hence why there is a filter).

NEW TOPICS
Before you post a new topic:

~Ask Yourself:
Is the new topic Im making going to contribute to the forums?
Is it going to follow the rules?
Is there already an existing topic with the same material?

~Do a Search
If you are going to start a new topic, please search the forums first. Make sure there are no existing topics with the same material-- if there is, post in there instead. There is no need to make the forums into a jungle. Similar to that, before you ask a question, search topics that have already been created for they may have the answer you need.

~And Avoid...
Heated topics. Religion, ethnocentric, and similar topics are ill advised. Debatable arguments, however, are acceptable so long as they are done maturely.

STAY ON TOPIC
This is perhaps the most common rule to be broken. It is asked of the member to stay on topic when discussing a certain situation-- any conversations that stray away from the topic is counted as spam and can be deleted. If someone starts to get off topic, kindly remind them to go back on topic.

SPAM IS NOT ALLOWED
Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages... yet another common thing among forums. Please keep spam off the forums for it is considered as trash. SPAM should not be used to gain a persons post count.

The one exception to this rule is here: Babble Board Spam Thread.

~Double Posting and One-Liners
Do NOT double post (posting another comment right after the other). If you have something to add to an earlier post, please feel free to use the EDIT button and edit your older post. One-liners are also discouraged-- if you have nothing significant to say or develop on, keep it to yourself.

~Bumping Old Topics
A topic you like has died and found its way to the forum graveyard-- is no reason to revive it. If a topic is months old, and no one has anything more to add to it, please do not revive it unless it is necessary. Bumping topics for post count is not allowed.

~Chatting
A forum is NOT a chatroom. Do not post excessively back and fourth with another member (Ex: Bob: Hello / Mary: Hi / Bob: How are you? / Mary: Good. You?). Posts should contain COMPLETE ideas and paragraphs. If you would like to talk to a member one on one, feel free to use private messaging (PM).

CLARITY OF POSTS
Posts should be CLEAR and UNDERSTANDABLE.

~Language and Grammar
English may not be your first language, and that is understandable, but under no circumstance should this be an excuse to create confusing posts. It is asked that everyone use clear English on the forums-- the basic knowledge will do. Type in full sentences (periods DO exist for a reason) and complete ideas-- be detailed so as to get the point across. Use resources if you must; dictionaries/ spell checks etc.

~Capitals and Symbols
Excessive use of CAPITALIZED WORDS and symbols!!!!!!!!! is not neccessary. It is seen as rude and annoying. Caps lock is not Cruise Control for coolness.

~Elite Speak
Posts with numbers, symbols and letters bunched together hurts the eyes and confuses the mind. L337 speak is considered spam (A few xD and w00ts here and there are okay so long as they are not littering the forums).

IMAGES
Keep all images under a reasonable size. The loading time for images may cause problems for those with slow computers. The maximum size for an image is 300 x 350 pixels-- a moderator is allowed to edit the pos should the image size exceed standards. The No Explicit Material" applies to all images.

~Avatars
Avatars have a maximum size of 100 x 100 pixels and should not exceed 25 kb.

~Signatures
Signatures should not exceed the size of 500 x 200 pixels, and 100 KB max. Keep text material short and simple, as well.

FINAL NOTE:
Just because it's not in the rules" does not mean you can go around causing trouble. Moderators and Admins will take action to keep everything in order-- they have permission to warn members if they have to.

CONSEQUENCES:
I cannot begin to stress the importance of READING ALL THE RULES. For rules broken, you will be redirected to read the rules again and again-- if the rules are broken excessively after many warnings, you can and will be suspended and/or banned.

Now that you have read all the rules, feel free to post on the forums. It would be good to start your first post at Newb Land..

It is also recommended that you read the guidelines in each category for they are there to help you as well. Welcome to the forums!

-note: future rules may be added at future dates and may be updated!
