So, yeah, as I randomly came up with the idea in the shoutbox, I thought I should put something up here about the theatre scene. Theatre in The City is booming, and after the Automotive Industry and Crime, is one of the most widespread influences on its denizens. The City's many theatres are of high quality, with some of the spectacular theatres in ChristChurch are of national renown, though without connections, it is hard to gain entry. These stages play host mostly to the old greats, such as Shakespeare, though newer plays, such as An Inspector Calls are gaining popularity. So, thats the bare bones, what would you guys like to see in the theatre scene? |

Great idea. I'd add that musicals would also be very popular. Either opening in The City before attempting to make it to Broadway or as traveling companies. The late '40's would have seen Oscar and Hammerstein, Irving Berlin, and Cole Porter writing and talents like Ethel Mermen singing. Also, random thought. Movies would have been on the rise as well, maybe we could have a converted stage theater become a movie theater. Edited by Arscapi, Jul 22 2011, 01:54 PM.

Theatres could also be a sort of safe ground, where rival criminal leaders could meet without fear of ambushes or assassinations, due to the public nature of the events. It could be a sort of truce ground. |
