We try not to have too many rules weighing the board down, but there are some we need. 1) No personal attacks on the board - if you don't agree with a post - say so, but...... don't attack the poster, just the post! If you can't do that, keep it off the board in the private message system, and if that all gets out of hand - we don't want play ground comments of "but they started it." If you do have a problem with another poster, let us or the moderators know and we will look into it and try to resolve the issue. 2) PLEASE - check to see if there isn't already a post about the topic you want to talk about on the board. Not only does it take up valuable space on the server - it means people keep seeing the same messages scattered about the board. Keep it all in one place please. 3) If a topic goes off topic - don't panic. This is often something that happens naturally to a thread, and while I know some boards are strict about this one - we have often found that it makes for some great interesting discussion, and that generally, if needed, the post will come back on topic somehow! 4) Basically, we discuss any decisions of banning a member with the other mods. Despite the fact we run the board - we don't consider it fair to be the sole ones in charge and so we ask for opinions and discuss with others before taking what is, for us, a drastic measure. This also applies to any other breach of Message Board rules that we might have to investigate. We don't expect people to always like the decisions sometimes made - but its what we have to do....... and we ALWAYS inform a poster if they are being banned. We haven't banned many people, but we will if we have to., 5) Ultimately, remember, while we don't mind most things, Simone Lahbib and her family are allowed privacy as they see fit. Please do not place any material that will breach privacy or cause offense. If it would offend you, then don't post it about another person! 6) No extensive use of text spelling please! Its simply because we find many readers can't and won't read it, and its personally something we don't like or agree with in the context of a board environment. And thats it folks.
