Hello there.
Basically the "Region" stands for DVD compatibility.
For instance, Region 0 DVD 's I believe play on any DVD player
Region 1 is usually DVD's devised to play in North America, ie, Canada and the US.
Region 2 is formatted for the areas of: UK, Europe, Japan, South Africa, and the Middle East.

So bottom line is the DVD's that I order from the UK will not play on my DVD player as I am in the states, but they will play if I have a Multi-Region or Region 0 DVD player. So depending on where you live you need DVD's compatible with that region or they won't play on your DVD player. Since only Series 1 is out here in the States, I purchased Series 2 and 3 from the UK and played them on my computer. I don't know if I explained that properly and forgive me if I have confused you more. Another poster might be able to explain it better.

As for Helen and Nikki, the only thing shown on the DVD is the kissing and unsnapping of the nurse's uniform, followed by Nikki and Helen being in bed talking and holding each other. There is a deleted scene from Series 2 showing them doing more kissing and collapsing on a sofa with Helen straddling Nikki, and Nikki hands touching Helen's breast briefly . It is a much more involved scene and far more passionate then the one that got through the censors. Who am I kidding, the scene is downright HOT!!
Hope I helped a bit!

Lol, thanks for getting back so quickly. yeh, that helped heaps now. its porbably not a good idea for me to buy region 1 or 2 dvds then! i think australia is region 4, but ill have to check.

yeah, bout the nikki and helen scene in "oh what a night" cos i read in an article that apparently it was "one of the most steamiest [or words to that affect?? cant remember the exact quote] lesbian scenes ever" and then i saw the episode, and im like "did i miss sumthing? that was nuthing [not that i was hanging out for it or anything!!! ]". im thinking maybe the article refered to the deleted scene... or theyre jus soft.

anyway, thanks for getting bak so quickly

If you want to get the Region 2 DVD's you can get them to play on your computer most likely. That is what I am doing until I can afford the Multi-Region DVD player.

As for "The Scene", they had to be talking about the deleted scene because the one broadcasted was tepid at best. I don't know if you have ever seen the American show: The "L" Word, but in comparison, the sexual scenes they show make Helen and Nikki's scene look like a church picnic. But, to be fair, the "L" Word is also a cable show and they have much more leeway than regular broadcast television. '
I'm just glad that they did allow Helen and Nikki's intimacy some sort of recognition on screen as it could not be left out of such a beautiful love story.

Well, glad I could be of some help.
Take Care
