Jonathan's Lady
|
K-site has a pic, of Clark, Jonathan, and Kara who appear to be standing in the cave with a glowing light. Clark looks pretty PO'ed. I hope that's a good thing. ::crossing fingers:: |

Paranoid Schizophrenic!!!!!

Oh wow! I just checked out the pic, and the spoilers, and now I'm so going to have to hate waiting for next season :( I hate cliffhangers, I really hate them :( I don't know why tho, I have a feeling Jonathan will still be with us next season. Maybe its just me wishful thinking, but I have a good feeling about it :) |

Can't Stay Away

I'm pretty sure he will be. Kind of curious about Kara. The show's creator's said "No Kryptonians" as much as they did "No flights, no tights." Next week I think we see Jor-El and Lara, and then Kara at the end of the season. Kind of makes you wonder about the flights and tights.... |

Hmm, should be interesting. I just hope this show doesn't start getting goofy on us. And I pray they stick to the no tights thing! But flying would be cool! ;) |

Jonathan's Lady

Well, really, I think they were saying there would be no one from Krypton there *with* Clark in real time. Memoria are just his memories of them and as far as Kara goes, I'm still not totally convinced it's *the* Kara even with saying she had powers. There has to be something more to this. I don't believe she is from Krypton at all which brought up a possibility mentioned elsewhere--that Jonathan is not literally forced by Kara to tell about the deal with Jor-el but forced in the way that if he *doesn't* tell, Clark could be fooled by her. |

I wondered about that too. They could be tricking us with the Kara name. I guess only time will tell.... |

Wasn't Kara Clark's cousin from Krypton? She lived in Argo City and her father and Jor-el were brothers? If I remember from the bits and pieces I've seen of "Supergirl" Argo city was miniturized and was sent to Earth. And where would Kara be all these years that Clark was growing up? |

Somehow I have a good feeling about it too. I'm not sure why, unless maybe it's just that this was a picture with Jonathan from the season finale where he didn't look sick or comatose or possessed or anything like that. A flimsy foundation for hope, perhaps -- it was one picture, not a whole episode! -- but I'll take what I can get. (I didn't notice that Clark looked particularly angry, though. I thought he just looked startled or awed.) And may I just say -- thank heaven for a board where I can find sympathetic souls with whom to discuss the significance of Jonathan in this picture! I was pretty sure that if I posted about it over at Kryptonsite, I'd get raked over the coals for my Jonathan obsession. Of course they all wanted to focus on this whole "Supergirl" thing -- and small blame to them, since I agree that the whole idea is beyond weird. (In fact, "goofy" is a very good word, Whitetiger!) But it's just nice to know that I'm not the only one who noticed that dear old dad is in this very important-looking scene, and not the only one who wanted to talk about it! :) |

Why thank you Renee.
:) I thought it was a rather fitting word myself!
 And, no you don't have to worry, we won't rake you over any coals for talking about Jonathan here!
;) We are a Jonathan Kent friendly site!
:) I hope that picture is proof that our Superdad is okay. I'm still a tad worried, but I'm trying to be optumistic! (I bet I seplled that wrong... Oh well.) |

Paranoid Schizophrenic!!!!!

Yup, free speech here all the way!
:) There's nothing wrong with liking our Jonathan, although I agree I'm really not into the Supergirl plot, if that's what its is and not a trick.... I really think the WB like to throw out a lot of red herrings. For instance they let it out some people might not be back next season, and then have Lana say she's going away...Sorry, I'm not falling for that one just yet! So basically it's back to the trust no one scenario  |

Something could still happen to Jonathan. When we saw "Legacy" my sister pointed out that she saw Jonathan attack Clark with a knife. Now that would be creepy! |

You mean in the trailer for upcoming episodes? Most people think that was a guest star from "Talisman," not Jonathan. |

Jonathan's Lady
|
When did Jonathan ever try to stab Clark? (He couldn't anyway, the blade would break)The only times I recall Jonathan coming after Clark was in Nocodemus--they struggled for the gun and it went off and in Delete when he was hypnotised to try to kill Chloe and Clark got in the way. |

That was not Jonathan. ***SPOILER ALERT*** It was another guy that has a special knife from the cave. From what I understand he is a native american that went into the cave and found a knife that is supposed to be able to kill Numan (Clark) He is also supposed to have Clark's powers somehow. I believe this is in the ep Tailsman that is directed by JS. |

That is a relief that Knife-boy isn't JK. But on to Pete I tell my sister this; I'm not exactly sorry to see Pete go. He rarely makes an appearance anyway. Maybe if they had developed his character I'd probably jump on the chance for his staying. |
